i want to start a localleadgen site and want to focus on a 1.9m pop city. gmb reviews top3 4.0-4.4/7-23 reviews. top10 page are 2 directories and 1 jobsite too...

is there a chance to get it in few months ranked on the firstpage with the main searchterm. or should I focus on the smaller neighbourcitys?

I choosed this city bc Its my local area, I know the business (service) perfectly, can sell the leads to my partnercompanys (I know the owners) with high provision (15-25% one-time or monthly). I can also handle the initial contact of the prospect myself by email and phone, and can therefore charge a little higher commission, as well as I have the power and can handle the lead myself.

also what are the main steps I have to do after I launched the site? on-page opt., all possible citations, local (.at) backlinks,..? is that the right order? are .de or .com backlinks also okay to mix it up? I think I will start the weekend with a seo guide

whether your links are .de, .com or a mix won't hurt as long as they are of quality. I'd add some social media and local directories on the mix as well.
