Hey guys,

I have a bunch of potential clients I'm trying to assemble a proposal / initial competition analysis report for.

What tools do you use that seems to be effective and informative?

I want to be able to automate a report that will allow me to enter their competitors' websites and will pull their ranked keywords, backlinks, and any other information.. I'm currently using SEOMoz for a quick Link Analysis which is pretty effective, but there isn't anything that handles keyword ranking, at least nothing I am aware of.

Thanks for your help.

Our clients seem to be impressived with seomoz reports and i then buff them up with other manual tips and tricks

Tools are not good for client proposals, you need to have personality

I agree.. The Link Analysis is a nice little comparison feature I use, and a crawl report keeps them informed that I'm doing my job.

You wouldn't by any chance willing to share your proposal format?

gonna be harder now to analyze competitions links since yahoo's changes.Semrush is a good source to see what the competition is ranking for or keywords they use plus if any adwords cpc and so on.

Not really, i use majestic and opensite explorer i then dump the top 5 competition links into a custom script that sorts links by types

You simply have to pay for these things now

I've been using Majestic SEO and its pretty good with back link reporting. Link-Assistant just started their own back link database to replace their Yahoo Explorer integration, however that's going to take some time to be effective.

I've never tried Semrush.
