I'm trying to outrank my competition but when i do link analysis , all the websites ranking for the frist places are building links every day from websites that are spammy and are for ads and job postings.

One competitor who has the first place now has over 33,384 links from this one same spammy website? O.o

I'm new to SEO but this is contradicting with what I have read about how you should not link from one website more then once and so on...

I'm starting to think that whoever has the more links get ranked no matter the website or am I wrong?

Should I start copying what they are doing in order to rank?

NEED help from experienced people Please :(

Those are probably side-wide links. It's a huge amount to be built manually.

Site-wide links can be footer or sidebar placements for example. Sidebar and footer appear on all pages of the website. So you create just one link manually and suddenly you have 30k.

Number of links is growing because source websites is adding more pages.

Google doesn't count them as 30k links tho. Probably just 1. The fist it discovered.

If your competition is ranking with this tactic you need to duplicate and do better. Now all coming from one site I would look into that further and see exactly how they are doing this.

One thing most people seem to always forget is google has to fill the first page with whatever it has... If someone ranks first, it doesn't always mean because he is doing good job, it's just no one is doing better

Long story short, don't copy him and it's a great opportunity to take this first place, build stronger backlinks than his, and from different domain and you will outrank him sooner or later

Firstly, you don't rank by number of backlinks. A couple of good links could be worth 5,000 worthless links.

Secondly, Google doesn't not show you all the backlinks a site has.

To rank, you need to get the rudiments right. Not everyone is cutout for SEO.

If you have a good budget I suggest buying quality aged domain from the auctions like godaddy and expired domains and building them up as PBN powerhouse for your site.
