You can try to optimize your article to google eyes and see if you actually outrank the other articles.

Otherwise, you gotta push it with backlinks.

PS: I'm looking for some good bum\article marketer for jv. If you are good with articles, you write and I'll put your article on google's first page (even for medium or medium-high competitive kws, just a matter of work). Then we cash 50% each.

You could build backlinks to your article on ezines if you wanted, even 2 or 3 good backlinks should outrank your competitions content unless it has been there for a long time and has its own backlinks.

Anything is possible when you get enough links.

How hard will it be? Hard to gauge.. depends on the keyword, your competitors and what kind of links you get. Work on building links and you should see results.
