comp languages? Profitable? Necessary for IM?

Hey I'm pretty new to all of this. I was wondering what y'all thought of computer languages. I have a guy that said we might could do a jv if I started learning visual basic. I wanted to know if you think it's profitable to learn and worth the time? Is it necessary to do IM? Just looking for info. on this subject...Thanks

if you know a language it's always good. Been a programmer in school since the age of 13 and since a couple of months ago (age 21) never thought of a way to monetize knowledge of programming knowledge.
So I wrote a simple but powerful bot for instagram and it paid off the hard work.
If you know what you are doing writing bots is only a week of job. I'm pretty sure bots like xgram instadominate made some cash by selling them
other than that - many blackhatter know programming language and write their own bots. benefits: it does exactly what you want it to do
