Comp keyword ranks in 14 hours..?

It's likely just the honeymoon period effect. If the keyword is low volume or competition there's a good chance this article will drop off the first page within a day or two.

Hi,

No its not my own site, about the 14 hours (15 now) it show up in de discription, like this.

15 uur geleden - De Fos LED-verlichting kun je op je kleren plakken en vervolgens verbinden met iOS, zodat je zelf afbeeldingen kunt tonen op het scherm.

The red txt is Dutch, translation = 15 hours ago.

I did see this before, and yes it will drop in about one week, its a tempory ranking. But is is a hard comp keyword and sometimes when newspapers write an artcile it ranks in a few hour in the top 10.

If it's not the honeymoon period, then I'd love to know their method:)

The root domain has 1M+ backlinks
The site is 6 years old
Its been ranking on some related terms

Its safe to say the site is an authority on that niche.
Build a site and love it like its your baby, don't feed them junk foods(sape/privateblognetwork/softwaretools) instead feed them with healthy foods(great content/real social media/good user experience/good presentation) ask yourself if your content is better than the top 10 placers instead of building and buying more links to outrank them, in 6 months time your new pages will be ranking without links + some organic authority links to your root.. This is BHW but you have to be multi hatted to do good in IM.

Sure, sometimes you can see date of a blog publication on the description. If it ranked in 1hrs you already know because you caught it at that moment. Any other time might be heard to know when it ranked. This type of sudden ranking is usually associated with authority domains or less competition.

The reason why is because it's coming from a SUPER authoritative website. Check their PA and DA, super high. It won't stay there forever, but yeah this happens. I got bumped from #1 to #2 by PCmag.com on a competitive laptop keyword. Brand new article. Nothing I could do, Google just loves some of these high authority news type sites. It will fall eventually though, but don't bother trying to outrank it.
