I have a great Dating PPL offer over commission junction that pays 2$ per lead. It works really great for me. I try to convince people in chat to sign in for free and to fill out their profile.

Unfortunately the advertiser doesn't allow posting the link in chatrooms :) So I use a wordpress blog + CPA Redirector plugin to make CJ think that the clicks come from the blog. To avoid attracting attention I use globalhits to gain junk traffic on the weblog.

Now I just found out, that they can track the hits, because I can see them in the quickstats on the right. When they track the hits, they might even track the referrers, too. I found out that all visits coming from globalhits always use the referrer "http://www.globalehits.com/surf.php?userid=(number)".

If I can see that, CJ might see that too, don't you think? So will they care about it? Will I get problems with the paying? What can I do to avoid questions?

If you see Globalhits as a referer, you can bet your ass they see it too. CJ is notorious for looking for ways to not pay you. If your traffic source is not 100% squeaky clean and by the book, they will let you work and work and work, and then just not pay you. And even it your are 100% legit, they will still find reasons not to pay you. It happens.

To be totally honest, I dont do anything with CJ any longer. I had a really bad experience with them a few years ago when I was sending them 100% legit traffic that they approved! Long story short, they didnt pay me because they said the advertiser was not happy I was ranking higher than them for their PPC term, which at the time was not against their TOS or anything by the way.

Sorry if you suck and PPC CJ, but correct me if I'm wrong. Didnt you ask affiliates just like me to bring you in the leads?

I know CJ is one of the largest CPA companies, if not the largest, but they sure are clueless when it comes to affiliates and affiliate marketing. They side with the advertiser every time. Period.

I wish you luck with what your doing. I hope you stay under the radar with them as much as possible, get paid, and bail after this. Good luck.

I'm not a fan of CJ either. One of their clients I was promoting left CJ and hadn't paid me. When I contacted CJ they said I would have to contact the client to try and get my money. Uhh isn't that what CJ is for???!!! Besides taking a cut of everything of course.

Hm. Sounds really bad! Problem is, that I would work 2 month before knowing if I get paid. So maybe it's better to stop working and see if they just pay what I earned until today. If so, I could go on.

Pretty bad! Does anyone else have that kind of experience with CJ?

Or look for that same company on a different network to spread it out. Join offervault and look for that same company or another similar offer.

If it were me with what I now know, I would stop sending traffic and wait to see if I got paid.

I would however do what Mark suggests too and find the advertiser if I could and promote it on that network, and on how many other networks I could find it, and split test which one of the landing pages do better than the other. Matter of fact, that is also how I find which networks scrub more than others. Just a thought.

Great Thoughts! I found out the Advertiser is present in 4 other networks with exactly the same conditions. So I will try to join them all, spread the earnings to the different Advertisers and hope the best.

What could I do to avoid that they track the globalhits referrers? I somehow need to clean them. Does a double meta refresh make sense in that case?
