So I've made a new Gmail and created a YT channel, posted my first video and wanted to comment on a few large channels in my niche hoping for some exposure. Well it looks like my comments are not showing on any of those big channels (checked with the browser in incognito mode). I did a few tests and on small channels there are no issues, my comments are visible. I didn't write anything offensive or self promoting, just a generic type comment like "great video, loved the ending" etc. Any idea why this happens? It's really frustrating.

So you're saying it's normal? Is it because my channel is new or some keywords that I use in the title, tags, description or channel tags are flagged by the big channels in my niche and this way my comments get ignored? I tried to comment on other big channels with different niche but similar audience and some got accepted. I find this interesting, why commenting on some channels works and for other doesn't, regardless of size.. all I can think of is some keywords are flagged. Thoughts?

Sometimes I see I my comments it'll say "potential spam" and I have to accept/deny

Try commenting with some upvotes and see if you can see them buy some upvotes here in bhw

It will be a waste of time and everything if you put upvotes to the comments that are not showing or ghosted.
As T3Marx is saying, if the comment goes to spam there's no use in buying upvotes. Plus I don't plan on doing that, at least for now anyway. I will try to compose longer, more natural looking comments, maybe that will do the trick. If not, I can share the channel on my other ones that have a few thousand subs to give an initial boost (although not sure how well it would work) and get the ball rolling. All I wanted was to try this "commenting" method on big channels in the same niche that I've seen it mentioned a few times, and found it weird that on most channels they wouldn't show.
