Hey guys,

I purchased an account from a friend, it was his main account and he needed some cash. It had around 30k comment karma and 10k post karma. 6 year old account for personal use and commenting

I used my own phone & my simcard. I have never used reddit on my own phone before so it was a brand new device.

The comments I put were getting collapsed from default. Any idea why this was happening?

Had the same problem but on new accounts, considering buying an aged account to fix this. Are you leaving links in the comments or are they just text comments?

An account as you friend's should be fine posting without any problems.

Just text comments, it is 6 years aged.

How much time does it take to rebuild trust? Have you had any success?

It usually takes a few weeks or months of normal commenting and posting for Reddit to trust a changed account again. Many people see improvement if they stay active and positive, and avoid anything spammy. Patience and steady use work best.
 
Collapsed comments usually mean Reddit flags them as low quality or suspicious. It can happen with account/device changes. Best way is to post naturally and engage slowly to rebuild trust.
 
start activity gradually and comment of some of the new threads (be the first one to post) + try boosting your comment with some upvotes. Should fix the issue.
