Hello guys,

I am a long time lurker and finally decided to join BHW and I need your help.

I am thinking to promote my product on instagram, and I have arranged a funnel:

1. My profile photo is very eye catching
2. On my profile I am planning to highlight a short video which will contain my site address at the end
3 Convert customers on my website

Now, I am new to instagram, only had a personal profile so what I want to do with a fresh account is follow big accounts with 1mil followers or more and set alerts to their posts and try to be the first one to comment to gain followers and get people to view my profile, video and website as described above.

Do you see any issues with that? Please note that I will do everything manually on my cellphone with no proxy, I wont comment with links or anything, my comments will be logical and relevant to the posts, the key to my approach is my profile photo and once people get on my profile I will have a highlighted video, also eye catching. My niche is general so I can target anyone...

I also plan to post myself once per day but main strategy is to comment on big accounts posts around 15 times per 24 hours aiming for 50-100 views per comment.

Would this be a reliable method?

Are there any limits I should know on commenting?

Can I expect to get banned or limited? Even though in theory I am just engaging with big accounts, no spam, or links, just relevant/smart comments...

Thank you for your opinions and any advice is appreciated

Thanks, I will think about it.

So do you think 50-100 views per comment is realistic? Is there any limit on commenting? Because I would comment up to 30 times or more each day but I am afraid of getting limited since it will be only on big accounts.

I doubt it.

My testing is very limited but I have posted comments on large accounts that have gotten many likes and one thing that I have noticed is that hardly anyone follows through to your profile and even less will interact.

But one thing I will say is that if your comment is either funny or extremely relevant to the posting it will get A LOT of likes.

Thanks for your opinion but I think my profile photo will attract visitors to my profile because its very enticing and anyone reading the comment would take notice.

My only worry is getting limited or banned for commenting only on big accounts.

Try to find as many accounts as you can to leave your comments otherwise it's gonna look spammy if you keep commenting on the same 5/20 accounts.

I would recommend picking a niche having a general niche almost certainly a disadvantage. The biggest problem with your method is that is isn't scale-able. If you do f/u conservatively and send DMs I can guarantee you will get better results with a much smaller time investment.

I will definitely spread my comments on several accounts and change them from time to time... thanks

I know what you mean but my niche is make money so everyone wants money, and my site is promoting a course so I think I am good on that front. With comments I plan to make it look natural and people will think they found me, I wont push anything to them ... I am in no hurry, I plan to build this slowly, natural and organic. If people don’t convert right away, its fine as long as they follow me, since I will also be posting stuff on a daily basis, I am certain followers will convert into customers at some point.

Thanks guys. If anyone knows if there is a limit on commenting or if you can share how many comments you make daily on big accounts, how frequently... would appreciate it.

Guys, I have a question: what is the rule on which order the comments are being displayed on instagram?

I noticed on some accounts and posts, comments are displayed first to last and have to scroll down to load more but on others, comments show last to first and have to scroll up to load more. Is there a specific setting? Thanks

Unless you are able to come up with some really funny or ingenious comments I don't see much merit in this strategy.

I think this strategy is outdated. Did you think about targeted ads in Instagram stories? ... Just got amazing results there!

Not true.

Thats because you are missing the big picture, I am looking to make at least $5k per month but appreciate your opinion.

Any idea how comments are sorted?

Ads are an option as well, but back up for now.

Please don’t listen to them. This method still works as I use it’s works fine for me

Comments are in order from highest liked/ highest replies.

That makes sense but still, if no likes or replies? What is the default sorting? First to last or last to first?

Thanks, I also think it will work fine, tested on Twitter and I got like 1-3% profile views from comment views.

set alerts to their posts and try to be the first one to comment

Unless you are using some sort of bot for this, you likely won't be the fastest.

This isn't a good strategy overall. You'd probably have better success doing this on accounts with 5-50k followers.
