Comment On or Off (auto blogg)

Hello!
I have about 50 autoblogs, just started.
I get allready around 50-100 "spam" comments / day.

All blogs are set to NOT auto publish comments.

So question, if I close my comments on these blogs will that hurt my blogs in anyway?

It's not so much that it will hurt your blogs but my thinking is, that *real blogs* get comments, so I'm sensible with the comments. At the end of the the day we've all done it, give a little back.

If the comment is sensible and "adds something" I allow it. If it's gibberish or blatant spam, I bin it. Takes me a 30mins in a morning to go through mine saying yes or no. As the vast majority are plain useless gibberish.

it will kill the spam comments and you won't even have to moderate them anymore, great little plugin

If you're using WP, A k i s m e t (which is included in most cases), work really well supressing spam comments...save alot of time.

Another solution is to remove wordpress footprints:
remove "Powered by wordpress" (footer.php)
also, change all the text labels that next to the comment box (comment.php)
