I've been off the internet for a few days because of comcast no good service. That can really heart some ones adword campaign. Have anybody experience with AT&T internet. I might consider switching to them.

where do u live? i have comcast and it works great. it's fast and i never have problems. i'm in NJ

I switched over to AT&T from Time Warner about 2 months ago. Zero problems.

i don't think it matters were i live but that could be it. AT&T here I come

Ive had Comcast for many years with no problems at all, and im also in NJ

I also have Comcast and they are excellent. I had DSL for five years before I switched to Comcast and I can tell you Comcast is 1000000 times better. When the DSL went down it was down at 3 day clips and it would happen a couple of times a year. With Comcast I've never had an outage in internet service in the last two years or so that I've been using them. Now my cable channels that's another story. I want to kill Comcast for my TV channel issues, but their internet is superior to DSL.

No problems with SBC/AT&T, even during their merger to just being AT&T. I heard a lot of business accounts got screwed up though, but that was during the merger. Here we lose cable more often than phone service, plus, cable looks a lot like sat tv here, getting all pixelated.

Unfortunately I am too far from a DSL hub to use DSL, so I had to go with cable, which has been alright for the past couple of months. I use insight, which I guess is merging with comcast, and that will suck. Comcast, back in my home area, was always goofed up, and anything over a 25 mph wind, well, say goodbye for a few days.

I think you made the right choice.

I'm in agreement with vze on this one. I had DSL long ago, moved over to Adelphia years ago and got pissed off at their crappy customer service when Comcast bought our local franchise. I went back to DSL for a little over a year. The final straw was about 6 weeks of outages that were1-2 days at a clip. They sent out several techs who could never find anything wrong with the lines, but yet they would try to connect from my jacks and see that there was no service. Their lack of support for their own systems sent me back to Comcast.

From a technical standpoint in the 4+ years I've had a cable modem here, I think I've had less than a week's worth of outages.

I would also ask where you are. I've seen some of the various cable company's operations first hand and can tell you with certainty that some are MUCH better than others, even within the same company.

hahah..there internet is good...but there starting traffic shaping.

oh an yup i worked for them for years...

DSL is way too slow for me. Cable is a hell of a lot faster.
If you have a shitty router, that could be a problem too.
I had a shitty netgear that i had to keep unplugging and plugging back in for the internet to work.
Then i got a good linksys router and it works perfectly.

Well, don't EVER go to Embarq.. their Tech Support is just about as useful as a pile of rocks and you can't do Port Forwarding or set up a Static IP on their internet.. I still haven't figured out how to seed torrents over this pos of an ISP, I can't host games or anything.

I had comcast for awhile. Their internet would slow to a crawl on weekends when all my neighbors were home surfing. Plus every couple of years comcast will pull the old bait and switch on you. I switched to Verizon Fios for my internet and tv, and it rocks. My internet is at superfast speeds always, and my tv picture including HD is the best I've seen anywhere.
