I have a little situation. I'm trying to decide between two domain names. I'd say them here but no doubt someone would try and park it or some shit. Anyway, one is a common phrase used in videos games and is rather long in character length but is a .com. The other has to be a .net because some ass parked the .com. It's more of a descriptive term to describe gamers who play games that are more "hardcore" or loserish whatever you want to call it and it has to be a .net because like I said some ass parked the .com. They are both a little over 15 characters long but sound really cool I think.

Should I try to get a shorter domain name or is there anything wrong with a .net? I mean battle.net is run by blizzard for one of their most anticipated games and all. I'm just the kind of person who is a perfectionist and in the back of my mind .com just stands out as being the best of all.

So anyway, should I spend time thinking of a shorter domain name or drop the .net one or what? What would you do?

If I were you, I would go with the .com. I've heard this from alot of well respected SEO guys and in my own experience, .nets have been more difficult to get ranked in Google.

Sounds like your .net name is the one you prefer, but if the .com has the same keyword in it somewhere, I think that would be better (as far as getting ranked in Google is concerned). Hope this helps.
