.com vs .net in SEO ?

    Hello Guys,
    Please help me and tell me that the website suffix name does matter or not. please help me to choose best one so tell me which is best for news website .com or .net?

    I don't think it matters between those 2 but i suggest .com

    No difference what so ever. Applies to all domain extensions.
    People will generally look for a .com over everything else

    Most of them would prefer .com over others like .net, .org etc.

    I always thought that '.com' was the most ideal, but something like '.net' still looks legit.

    I think it's merely a matter of personal preference. For example, would you really buy anything from a website that has the '.xyz' TLD?

    Hell, I know I wouldn't! Even if it was the most legitimate business online, I'd still think it was a bit fishy.
