Does anybody know if Google gives precedence to .com over other extensions? Specifically .info

I need to purchase several and the .info's are a 10th of .com's price.

    Thanks guys!

For Google I don't reckon it matters. For your credibility, .com would be better.

Unless you of course use Yahoo! Answers, where you are supposed to share info.

    ughhhhhhhhhh not this question again

You only register the .info cuz it's cheaper. Otherwise, get a .com

Most of the time I use .com's when wanting to create something a bit more credible or if I think I will be selling it down the road. I use infos for throw away sites and those that I dont plan to monetize in the long term... but thats just how I do it. As far as ranking goes I personally havent seen any difference in results but I hear like wise from many others.

So .info would be better for autoblogs? Seeing as they provide information, even though they look less credible, they are just there for backlinks and a bit of adsense?

Because I was thinking of going with .com, but if I went with .info I could get about 30 blogs setup.

    For autoblogs, use .info.

For web presence, credibility or if you are planning on flipping a site, then go for the .com

.com has more credibility and is more recognized by the general public.

On godaddy a . info is 49p. That's pretty cheap. I'm going to be buying about 21 sites but I'm still gonna go with the .coms I think

In my own trials there is no difference at all. As stated before for brand awareness and flipping potential .com all the way. For blackhat purposes .info all the way. For a 89 cent .info what can it hurt.

If i can't get a .com I go for .net. It seems to be the second most respected one.
