In one year they only raised around $100,000 yet they need $6,000,000,000 to send the first colonists to mars and $4,000,000,000 to send the second colonists.

I look around and see a few billion people, the vast majority of which live in much much much better conditions than any other animal on the planet. Obviously, we 're doing something right.

And if something happen, I don't think people from earth can send the rescue easily to Mars.
