Hey everyone!
I wanted to share an idea that’s helped me (and others) approach website management in a more strategic way: the Website Quadrant Strategy.
It’s a framework designed to guide website owners—whether you’re running a brand-new blog or an established e-commerce platform—on how to prioritize actions based on your site’s status and the competition level of keywords you’re targeting.
The Current Quadrant Framework:
- New Website + Low Competition Keywords:
- Focus on foundational efforts: writing high-quality content, internal linking, and optimizing metadata. Avoid link building at this stage.
- New Website + Medium Competition Keywords:
- Slowly transition to medium competition keywords as content grows. Build authority with consistent publishing.
- Established Website + Low Competition Keywords:
- Dominate low-hanging fruit with your domain authority. Optimize for quick wins with evergreen content.
- Established Website + Medium/High Competition Keywords:
- Balance content creation with link building, leveraging tools and technical SEO for competitive keywords.
How You Can Contribute:
- Real-Life Examples: Have you tried something similar? Share what worked (or didn’t)!
- New Ideas: Are there other factors we should consider (e.g., content types, emerging SEO trends)?
- Feedback: Does the quadrant resonate with your current website challenges, or do you see gaps?
As we refine it, we can continuously update the quadrant and make it an even more valuable tool for the community.
Let’s collaborate and make this a go-to framework for website growth.
Looking forward to your insights!
