Funny that sending simple email is crime, what a weird world we are in.
I had many people telling me to stop emailing them and I just kept mailing.

I should be in jail by now I guess

Depends on how you do it , if you are mass mailing random people with products you might get in trouble, if you are cold mailing people cautiously about relevant content, with unsubscribe option and following basic ethics you should be fine .

If you are mass mailing better make sure it's not connected directly to you in any way

The tories in the UK just got fined £10,000 because they forgot to take 57 people off their subscribe list and they received an email along with the 10,000s of other subscribers.

Your conversions are usually shit anyway. You need to use a software to warm them up first and put them through a funnel.
