Cold DMing to get sales for my eCom

I've posted very similar question in dropshipping section to no avail


I'm running general store devided into sections, I'd like to promote these sections on related IG tags
I'm curious what's the correct way to cold DM someone on IG?

These are the options that come to my mind

1. post my products in related tags and DM everyone who seems to be interested - they either like, follow or comment
2. comment under those tags under someone's else post and approach everyone who follows me
3. Contact anyone who is active under related tags

Which one is correct way of doing it? did I miss something?

What kind of results can I expect? is 1-2% conversion rate realistic?

Also if it comes to cold emailing, other than contacting people who have opted in, is there any other way of doing it?

You might get a 0.5% conversion rate on your eCom site if you're lucky but you'll only get 0.05% click through on your cold DM links.

So I figure you need 40,000 cold DM's to be seen/read to funnel down to make 1 sale.
