Cold Calling

So I have decided to start cold calling businesses whether they like it or not :cool: and I have a question. I'm selling mobile websites and I was thinking of hiring professional telemarketer that is going to do 150-200 calls a day. My question is:

With a good script and targeted businesses approximately how many sales could I do with 1000-1200 calls a week? I'm not asking for an exact number, but more exactly what are your closing rates with cold calling? 1 sale in 400 calls would be realistic considering the person I'm about to hire has experience?
 
That's a hugely open ended question that is impossible to answer without your own testing. Pick up some material from Alan Pease (search the forum here and torrent sites) he has a cold calling tutorial that is great.

Also if you have money to blow hire a great company to call for you. Tele Verde out of AZ is pretty much amazing, I have met the owner who is good friends with Tom Hopkins, their callers know what they're doing, big time!
 
There is no fixed conversion rate in cold calling in my view. I would suggest that you do some text message marketing instead first.
 
Sorry for the ugly self promotion here, but you might consider voice broadcasting instead of hiring a telemarketer. You can broadcast a compelling message with a strong call to action to a highly targeted list for a very affordable price. A great telemarketer may be able to make 1,000 calls per week.

Voice broadcasting can make 1,000 calls in 10 minutes at a much lower cost.

Just food for thought.
 
I'd advise using flexpaydude's strategy AND the telemarketer if you can. I used an autodialer a few years ago (not sure if they are still legal), and had a surprisingly good success rate. A significantly lower cost than a telemarketer, but it was critical to have me or my skilled telemarketer take the transfer call from the autodialer.
 
When I used to Cold Call an average day off a call list of about 150 was about 20-30 DMC ( decision maker contacts ) so the people that matter, then its down to the product and the pitch
