I need some tips for cold calling?

(idk if this is the right place to post this)

Thread moved to a more suitable sub forum.

Get a really good script written up. Ensure your product knowledge is excellent so that you can answer questions sprung on you. If you sound like a mumbling/bumbling fool who is just reading from a crib sheet, you'll get nowhere.
Be fluent, be able to improvise and ad lib.

Former cold caller for a living here. As MisterF said, get a good script, get comfortable with it and tweak it over time. Dont be afraid to ask for the sale, the biggest mistake people do is tip toeing around it and never ever going for a solid close.

The biggest thing is to listen. A bad cold caller does his pitch no matter what. A good cold caller pays attention to detial, i.e is your prospect in a good mod or pissed off, did they mention anything interesting that you can use to get a bit more personal. Dont be like every other slimy salesman without critical thinking.
