Cold Calling Scammer

My mother received a scam phone call like this before from a guy named "Mohammand Saleem Sleem". My mother knew that it was a scam, but because she's no fun, she threatened the guy with the police instead of screwing with him like the guy in the video. The guy became livid and started speaking in Hindi and then he threatened to send some "special agents" he knew to kidnap us and force us to do "sex stuff" as he put it. She subsequently started crying and called the police.

Would tell them hold on then click anyone of the porn links my friend bookmarks. It got unfunny in about two days so I started forwarding to FCC. Guess their done...

I'm looking forward to the day I get one of these calls..it looks like fun to pretend you believe them and then finally tell them you know they're scammers after an hour of playing along.
 
Well, what is interesting is that he had my mother's social security number and home address, but this happened nearly 5 years ago, and since his special "sex stuff" agents never showed up, it's safe to assume that he was bluffing.
 
My friends have made thousands of dollar doing this. I hate this business lol..
 
As for that threat, that guy is a total POS. :hitwithroBut isn't that what everyone is doing over Xbox Live and all over the internets? I hear it all the time. "My brother works for Microsoft, he's going to lock your account!"

Bunch of dumbasses if you ask me.
 
We have had over 50 calls over 2 years from people giving names like John, William, Harry etc who clearly have a thick Indian accent. They claim to be from Microsoft New Zealand (where I live) and say there is a virus on the computer. We have 3 computers and always try and get them to say which one it is. Just last night we had a 'Harry' call, mum gave him the usual responses calling him a liar, thief and a scammer. After this he got really abusive calling her a f*cking b*tch, she let rip but he wasn't backing down and kept up with the abuse before mum hung up. Then again tonight around the same time 'Harry' rang up again, didn't start with normal Microsoft carry on, just started calling my mother a f*cking prostitute b*tch. Asking if it was $250 for 3 hours. Once again mum let rip before hanging up. The little sh*t rang back 2 seconds later and started off again with the insults.

Both calls were reported to the police and we have contacted our service provider in regard to blocking the number. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to mess with these people, get some sounds playing on the phones, get into their computer systems, I don't know. Any suggestions would be great. Sorry for the long post, just had to get it off my chest.
 
We do have caller ID but it just comes up as Anonymous so Truecaller is no use, but thanks anyway.
 
Idea: Setup a VM and put linux into it. Then let them connect to it and show them your event viewer (lol). Don't let them understand that you're playing fool. Keep the call running for an hour and then disconnect saying you are not interested :D

I like the idea, wasting their time sounds great. Is there tutorial or something, around which could give me a better understanding of this?
 
I read this story a long time ago. Can't remember the blog name. There were audio samples too of the conversation and that was funny as hell! Search for "troll tech support scam" if that helps.

Talking about wasting time... that's the best way to piss them off because minutes are not very cheap in India (I come from India too. So I know ;) )

I had the leads and thus, many of my friends offered me great perks to work for them but I always rejected them.
This is not marketing. This is plain old scamming which I would never support no matter how poor I am (yet, I earn my bread without too much hassle lol)

Folks, it's simple, train your family that if the don't recognize the number let it go straight to the answering machine. We hardly get calls on the main line now and if it's important they will leave a message.
 
Get a Rape alarm and when you get one of these douches just give them a 2 second blast.

I believe it's very possible to make money. The key is to look at strategies like this from a broad high level and execute strategies that can be done in a similar fashion but in an ethical manner so you're not breaking any rules or laws. :)
