Hey guys , i stumbled upon something that can make real money if done correctly and have questions for the experts in this field :
1) The script , i did lot of research and found few that i can start with , if anyone have something to share if he/she already done with them that would be huge help.
2)Who do you call exactly , i can get the phone numbers from whois database but i thought that those number are basically their agency who did the setup? think i better call their main number and ask to be forwarded to someone in their dev apartment ?
3) whats a good closing the deal percentage for you guys ? 1 of 100 or less ?
any advice is appreciated
Thank you

Please not that i can offer a service that is not popular yet and it can be the opening

1. Script to pitch what?
2. The decision maker.
3. Closing rates are determined by the quality of the script / product and person doing the pitch. As you are starting out accept you will mess it up until you get better.

1- There are numerous videos on Youtube that teach different intros.
2-You probably need to get in contact with the purchase manager or development manager. You may find them on social media such as LinkedIn other than just cold calling them.
3-The percentage of deals closed depends on the market segment, a sport cars salesman makes less sales than a bread salesman.

1) Let's say SEO but with a twist that they don't know
2) The issue is that most businesses have their whois number / client support / and affiliate department if they are big enough , so getting to the business make owner on some "cold call" will be hard thing to do , or im wrong ?
3) I have a flat price for the service that i will provide , but during the call i can some other pieces of the call

Based on these answers I think you are going to struggle.

If you don't know how to reach the decision maker, you will never make a sale and if you think pitching is just about outlining the price you will never make a sale.

I would say team up with somebody who knows how to sell.

That's why im asking around , i know it will be trial and mistakes at first but ready to struggle :)

Fair enough.

In that case you first need to build a database of decision makers for your service.

Without knowing the right people to contact, everything else is a waste of time.

A decision maker is the person who has the authority to say "yes" to what your selling and cut the check.

I came from a sales background and was a cold caller. So I can give you some advice. I think you have some more learning to do. This is based off some of the answers I've seen here by you.

Firstly, you need to talk to a decision maker. This is the person that makes the decisions, they can say yes and give the money.

There is no way you want to be calling big companies. You are not ready and won't know how to sell to them.

Aim for SME's, this stands for Small and Medium Enterprise. The person you will want to be getting hold of is most likely going to be the business owner in this case.

To start with pick an industry. For example plumbers, builders, insurance brokers etc. Once you have picked an industry, search for companies in your area that fit the industry.

Build a list, with their business name, phone, email, website and decision maker name. You'll find the business name, phone and sometimes email on the website. The business owner is most likely decision maker, so jump on to the local business register and check the business name. You'll now have the name of the owner. Try to get a list of 50 businesses min.

That was all the easy part. Next is building your script, it can't teach you how to build a script in this message but try and make the script tailored to there industry. For example instead of "I help business's", you would have "I help plumbers". They like to deal with people that understand their business.

Bonus tips:
- Don't talk price on the first call.
- Don't try and sell the product/service on the first call.
- Ask questions, get them involved in the conversation.
- Don't read the script word to word, treat it as a guideline. Your trying to have a real conversation.
- Your product/service should solve a problem they are having. Even if they don't know it, explain the problem to them.

I know what your thinking. "If I'm not selling a service on the call then what am I doing?". You are selling a meeting, get them to accept an online or in-person meeting where you can then go into full detail about your offer. You'll have there attention and interest this way.

Give this a go and report back with further questions. Get ready for a lot of 'no', it's okay this is normal. You'll get better and you'll feel like a king when you get your first meeting or sale.

Also another tip, don't be secretive. If they feel you are hiding something, they will not trust you.

Good luck!

Thanks buddy , really looking for this kind of "help" and "replies" ,
got enough "No" already , but im selling something that they really need , so i got few yes's (i lowered the prices) (heck im in loss with few clients)
I will try your method of not selling from the first call and compare it to "hey im selling something"
Been listening to the calls ... the real issue is the caller (if i have a good English , i will turn them into customers for anything) , but what exhausting me and my pocket is the teaching part , its like teaching a wall how to talk (even they have have a good experience )

There is some good stuff you've mentioned here. The fact they are buying it because the price was lowered means there is a need/want for what your selling. The reason why they are buying at a lower price is "value".

The chances are you're having trouble with the value for the higher price because you're selling to them on the first call. If you do what I mentioned earlier and getting a meeting first, you'll be able to sit down with their undivided attention and really demonstrate the value in your service/product. The chances are you'll get the sales for the higher price.

Give it a go and see what happens.
