Cold calling is an essential skill to have for any business no matter how big or small. I have zero cold calling experience and wish to become an expert (top 5%) phone salesman by the end of the year. Obviously i need to get on the phone and start calling but my problem is that i cannot sell/recommend a product/service i dont believe in which is the case for almost 90% of all products out there. Maybe i should do appointment setting campaigns instead.

I was wondering how many other folks here are genuinely interested in improving their cold calling skills. I want to create a skype group where people can practice cold calling everyday by pitching to each other and critiquing each other's pitch. I got this idea from Grant Cardone where he invites his audience to cold call him on a live show.

Seriously folks, if we invest some time into this we can get beat all 5 of those callers on the show. You dont have to be an cold calling expert to join the group - i am sure we can all chip in with some advice and help each other out with our collective wisdom. What i dont want is a bunch of time-wasters.

So anyone up for it?

wth? is nobody interested in mastering cold calling/appointment setting here?

I dont really join masterminds but i could really use this one though. Let me know.

I've been doing cold calling for 5+ years in the digital space and unfortunately, you might have to lose the idea of only selling products or services you truly believe in. This especially applies if you are not selling a product or service that you are personally invested in. As long as you are providing value to the client and it is something they could use in their life, it's not really important whether you like it or not.

If male sexual toys had a commission of $100 per phone sale but you don't agree with the culture or use of it, would you really not be interested?

Cold selling sex toys on the phone... what would that sound like lol.

I'm starting a job that will be mostly cold calling. Any way I can join your group? Seems like I could learn a lot

I'm in. Real estate agent here and I could see this being awesome! Add me

Grant Cordone is a genius. Thanks for sharing this video. Will check it out when I get the time.

Lol, you know right form the intro of that video that this is complete BS. "wealth is out there for the taking", yeah no shit Sherlock... and what's up with all cliche buzzwords? It's always funny when the intro of a video about "cold calling" or "marketing strategy" etc. makes you click away within the first 60 seconds and leave a bad taste in your mouth. Yep these are certainly the folks I wanna learn "cold calling" from...

don't post grants stuff here man you're going to make him more rich. And people are going to start using the methods too.

No lie, I used Grant's methods before. Used one of his scripts and tailored it to fit the financial industry I was involved with at the time. Never had cold called in my life, hated talking to clients, and was very much scared of the damn phone. I've always been a quiet person. But that script and other methods he talks about helped me close 2 deals in just a week and also helped me gain a lot more confidence on the phone. I'm talking cold calling all day long. I would make around 50-100 calls a day to various companies and would ask to speak to the owner. I would get through the gate keepers like nothing most of the time lol.

Use his methods guys and you will succeed. If you don't, just give up already. There is no hope for you in this life.

Warning: he is a genius marketer though guys, don't fall for the bs he tries to sell you on. Just listen to the man and watch what he does and how he does it. That's really all you need. You don't need to buy all his crap.
