Would love to get some coaching/ask some questions about your experiences calling local businesses selling services by finding them via google maps.
Does anyone have any insight on how to start today cold calling local businesses and following up with emails, collecting payment and then ordering on Fiverr or a BHW marketplace service to basically re-service (reputation management, maps reviews, seo services etc).

Let me know if you have experience and would love to learn a bit about it.
I'm thinking I'd have to do 500 cold calls to really get the hang of it before I even think about getting an initial client.

Firstly get connected to the decision makers, if they pick up your call for the first time, that's great but incase a support agent picks, tell them that you want to discuss this with a senior and it's a business opportunity. To make it even better you can fire 1-2 mail to decision makers so when you introduce yourself to them, they'll feel like it's a known brand. Also you can attach some link in the mail for a demo or something to capture their pixels and show ads on their social media as well.

Now keep the flaws and insecurities of that type of businesses ready. You won't get it for the first time but I'll ask you to niche down on a specific segment and after calling some of them you'll get an idea. Hearing their competitor analysis make them more interested to buy from you. Keep hitting on their revenue pain points and trust me small business don't know much about seo, ads and other DM services. Just make them feel that they are left behind and you're done in few followups.

it seems like offering the service for free initially is the way to go but i need to ask for money up front to re-service it lol.

Don't do that.

Every business owner will assume that your offer is an scam of some sort. Why would someone on the internet give away an service or product that cost hundreds or thousands of dollars to random people by the phone?

so take money up front then, okay, then i could just easily act as an agency but find a reputable service seller and just sell, and it would be good training as i think if i can sell i can do anything

Sell them on something that is a very minimal cost so that they trust you. Then sell them on the more expensive stuff.

You can try by giving some demo of your service first and then selling your service to the client that way more people can be interested in your service .

Depends on the cost of the service you want to sell. Asking for a few hundred will be a different strategy compared to asking for 5 thousand.

Call Craigslist users that post in services, usually it's the decision maker on the end of the number posted.

what would you say the best service to offer them would be? I'm actually LOVING this idea, looking at services section right now

scrape data from google maps, use some kind of email marketing automation tool and create a followp sequence. and on the last followup try to call/text them. Its hard to get client on the first mail so Followups is where you get clients.

If you manage to get good quality of targeted list , cold calling can be very profitable only then

Make yourself a sales pitch and a list of common answers at hand to questions FAQ that may arise.
The rest is Blod + Sweat - to do Business.

Never offer anything for free except for the lead generation. You can provide some information for free to introduce more fear like a short analysis of where they are lacking among competitors(Get a general niche so it'd be almost same for everyone). I have seen startups offering a lot for free but people don't find value after trials, instead they end up getting a lot of load for the non paying customers.

To become a master you need to have 10.000 calls. But in actuality nobody is going to give away their secrets to you especially via cold calling.

You want to call then follow up with email.

My advice would be to email first, then call in reference to it.

if i'm local to USA what services should i use if i don't want to use my real number?

what about for SMS?

If I work with appointment setters, what service should they use if they're outside of the USA for getting a good USA number for cheap (can't really afford gohighlevel yet)

Don't offer anything for free. In fact, be expensive but offer no risk money refund guarantee. Require payment after results delivered etc.
