Cold Calling / Client Acquisition help.

    Does anyone have any experience with using a potential clients phone number posted on their website for contact? Do businesses typically have a phone number that they utilize for client calls and another for other calls, or does that phone number typically go to the gate keeper?

    Also, same question but for "contact us" e-mail forms. These forms are intended for client questions but does anyone have any success getting into contact with marketing decision makers through them?

    I guess more clearly, does anyone contact co mpanies through their contact us forms? Any success with doing this?

    Contact us is a spam filter. I doubt you will get any further using it. It shouldnt be too hardto find real email addresses of people you need to speak to...linkdin..facebook..twitter etc all list this kind of info.

    Thanks, gonna check it out.

    I've been kind of lucky. I focused on getting my company website ranking for <geoterm + SEO / Search Engine Optimization / Internet Marketing / Online Reputation Management> and have all 4 terms on page 1 for a handful of geoterms. This brought me 15+ tire kickers and I was able to sign 3 companies to 6 month contracts.

    Now I'm fumbling my way through trying to go out and get customers. I've got next to no sales experience, so I'm doing a lot of learning.
