Coffee doesn’t taste good… we just all agreed to lie about it so we can function in society ☕

I never drink coffee precisely because of what you've said (it doesn't taste good). I took a sip in the 90s (was around 10-12 back then, I don't remember the exact year / age) when I have visited my mother's office and one of her work colleagues had dared me to take a sip, which I did. And I immediately went "YUCK!" and felt like vomiting, and since then I've been keeping away from it... although, giving that now I'm an adult and I know that people can be made to endure stuff they don't like I could totally get myself to liking coffee. But why though? What's in this for me? I genuinely see no reason to drink that thing :)

But anyway, to each their own, we all have our vices, so I don't mind others enjoying their coffees... come to think of it, I should probably keep some of it in my own home, just for when people visit me and would like some coffee (hopefully no one visits, though, I don't like people... yet)

Hahahaha, yeee, exactly like this, first sip was so bad, and there we go -> latte feels nice, then cappuccino, and now I'm on the flat white stage:anyway:

Grandma always sipped coffee, smoked cigarettes, and watched The Price Is Right. My first sip tasted like hot chocolate because of the cream and sugar she used. Now I drink Italian coffee with cream and sugar.

If your first sip was just plain black coffee, then you missed out on the wonderful first taste, and now you will have to learn to like it or drink tea instead!

Well neither are most veggies but we eat them anyway.
I do like veggies, I don't know what you're on about but fruits and vegetables are my favorite type of food. I genuinely love the taste of tomatoes, eggplants, onions, garlic, lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, potatoes... pretty much all of the common veggies, so please don't talk smack about my favorite foods :)

Overtime you get used to it and eventually may end up liking the taste.
oh... yeah, that could be it too, I didn't think about this :D

Although, I remember that ever since as a young kid I used to enjoy carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, lettuce and onions from my first try. The cucumbers and garlic have taken me a while to get used to, so I guess that you are right about these 2 veggies. But everything else I've been in love at first sight taste with :)

Coffee is the pure nectars of the Gods, we need free coffee for everyone, Italian preferably.
no, we don't! We only need watermelon and video games in our lives, everything else is optional :D

hey, man, no offense, but that's not coffee anymore if you add sugar and cream to it! Dressed up like that I could enjoy it too, but that's not what the discussion was about (although, OP wasn't specific in this regard, so you're backed by the vagueness of his statement), so don't cheat because normal coffee is really bitter, so I doubt that anyone in their right mind would enjoy that taste :)

Yeah, he should speak for himself, I love coffee. Still drinking that while living in a country with tea plantations and even when I have less work, that says all.

Just had a cup of cold coffee,

Coffee is addictive, but it's also good for health in moderate amounts

That's the good thing about coffee, it tastes bad, and it wakes you up, black coffee without sugar without anything just water and coffee

My thing Started Like
First sip: “this is terrible” 10 years later: “this is essential to my survival” ☕. Now Bed coffee is mandatory.

what about matcha without milk :D people say that it taste like grass, but for me is good idk

First sip of coffee: “ugh this is bad”
After 10 years: “I can’t live without this” ☕
The same way that sigarette does not taste good but, most people do with it.

That is the power of addiction!
