Emphasis on the terms practical and applications.
Being a CSE graduate, yeah, technically I can code stuff but it's mostly stuff that have minimal to zero marketable or practical value.
Building a complete application from scratch that can be marketed as a standalone product requires something that currently I don't have and will probably take years to develop: programmer's intuition.
Without this intuition you're as good as a beginner coder who's jumping straight into the no-bullshit practical side of programming devoid of all the unsubstantial academic jargon (doubly linked list I'm watching you, yeah fuck you linked list in general).
But I'm not gonna give up on my ambition to develop a completely marketable software all on my own. If anything, learning of this glaring shortcoming of mine, it only made me feel worthless as a "Computer Science Engineer" and steeled my resolve further to push forward with the grind.
Yeah I'm developing an ambitious web application (not disclosing the functionalities yet but rest assured it's related to IM) from scratch with zero prior experience in building intricate softwares.
I'm using Flask for the web app frontend, Tkinter for the desktop version.
Every line I punch out is filled with errors that I'm trying to correct and in the process gaining some priceless knowledge this fucking university degree of mine couldn't ever impart.
Unit testing of each logical blocks (this is for a sub-sub-subsection of the app in question so hopefully that gives you an idea about the degree of my ambitious naivety) and subsequently troubleshooting them is making me pull my hairs lol.
Till now I've found the real headache is tying the frontend to the backend to be the most challenging. Those cross-file reference to classes and their attribute functions and decorators with their own scoped variables and parameters it all gets so fucking jumbled up makes me wanna reach for the shotgun that I don't own in the first place
