Auto RT or like when someone tweets based on keywords or hashtags or just the usernames added to the list.

Node.js is the perfect language for a Twitter bot - any bot actually. I've written one myself. Currently still testing it, running 93 bots on an old Celeron Linux PC without any noticeable lag or issues. It's not even causing any noticeable load at all - except for debugging pupose. I would guess 1000 concurrent bots shouldn't be any issue either.

What I can recommend, from my experience are two things, start with a web server. I used command line tools and log files, which is haunting me now because it became very complex to keep an eye on everything and adding an express server now is a lot of work. And I can recommend to use a heartbeat function in the center of the code. This allows for pretty much an unlimited amount of bots even on a small virtual server account.

There is an npm module for a sleep function. However, there is pretty much no legitimate reason to ever use a sleep function in node.js. That would be like switching off your PC whenever you like to pause a video. Doesn't make much sense ;)

From a potential customers perspective I really like the ease of use and layout of Likestagram. (Always asked them for a Facebook or Twitter version but they never created one)

What I would like a Twitter bot to do is be able to connect to multiple accounts, auto like or retweet hashtags as well as auto follow users posting about those hashtags.

Make the design simple and easy to use. That would be fantastic. PM me when you are ready for testing and I will gladly beta test
