I intend to stay up for ages to play COD4 (Warming up for the next day), get woken up the second it arrives, play it thoughout the day so I can beat my friends in highscores. I'm pumped!

I think thats only if you play bad copies.. just make sure theyre stealthed correctly and no problems..

I've been banned, and nearly everyone else and their dog for having a modded firmware, even those who havent played WF2.
PS, I played MW2 online for about a week.....

Yea two of my friends have been banned. One of them had the mod for over a year now so they didn't really care and just bought a new Xbox to stay legit for COD6, but the other has only had it for a month so that really sucks for him, especially since COD is almost here. I don't think I was hit in the ban though, as I can still go on live...I think I'm going to go play something online and see what happens.
Btw, it can't be because of the games, as I burned one of my friends' games, properly stealthed, verified, etc. The other one bought his games, and burned a couple himself I believe.

If they ban you, do they just ban your account or do the ban the xbox from using live again? I know it's a stupid question, but just wandering as a few of my friends have just been banned for being stupid and playing games on live before release date.

AFAIK, they only ban the console itself. You will not be able to use any account on that console, but the accounts themselves should still work on a good console. The only thing I'd be scared about is the accounts leaving a footprint to a new modded console, unless they're going to stay completely legit. I don't know about that though, maybe it would still be fine to move to another modded one and MS wont even know...
probably a simple fix for it. They have to ban either the hwid or a mac addy (if it has it, which it should). A simple program to spoof it would work. But idk much about xbox, but i know on ps3 you can do stuff like that with a simple installation of linux.
My son has been playing for the last week on a modded box. If you are into these leaked copies it's best to have 2 xboxes, 1 for live play and one not connected to net for playing these early leaked copies.
MW2 is a wave 4 game, and right now to play wave 4 games on modded xbox you have to skip the stealth check meaning a probable ban on live very quickly.
