.co vs .name domains?

If you want to register a domain that has the word 'name' at the end of it. For example, "blahblahname".

Which domain would you go for?

blahblahname.co

or

blahblah.name

ADDITIONAL INFO:

My target audience will be businesses. Normal internet users will not be visiting my site. I don't think I'll be doing SEO on it (at least I don't think that right now). I will be getting in touch with business directly asking them to check out my website. I'm just confused which one to buy from these both as .com, .net, .org are not available.

I'd go for blahblahname.co, but it's just my personal opinion.
 
i would go for blahblah.name

its like .me domains, people prefer sth like fuck.me than fuckme.com

choose .co because your domain can be pointed out easily in search engines.. there are lots of .co.uk .co.in and many.. among these .co is preferred mainly..

if you choose .name its too tough to point out.. first preference for .com and many.. at last .name
 
a .name can make you big $$

you can sell it or can make a authority site on it . make it fancy .
 
.co may get you some type in traffic (misspelling .com)
.name if you are building up a reputation for a name/brand which is not already copywrited

100% .co, unless the domain makes sense with the .name
After the Superbowl GD commericals .co is making a strong presence online, especially with startups i.e vine.co

Actually, that's not true. Some people consider them as good as .com/.net/.org actually.

I'd go with .name if it's a domain hack or it makes sense to go with that TLD. Otherwise go with .co.
 
So many "UNTAKENBUSINESSNAME.CO"'s available. Pushing them in my local market. Get a big fish to bite xD.

I needed a private network to setup so I was trying to get a .us name such as words that end is .us IE Morphe.us, Octop.us, etc. Then I stumbled across PrivateNetwork.co what a perfect domain name for what I needed. Now it's on a VPS doing work!

On the flip-side, if you land something like your.name, or gates.name, etc. you can make good money there as well. 2c.

actually .co is better than .com because if you use .co, the backlinks that with .co.uk or .co.in or .co.extension backlinks will reflect to .co first.. it happened to one of my website with .co .. better select .co
 
Well i have .co websites that didn't rank for it's main keywords, so i transferred to .org

However, i saw some .co domain have pr 6 and alexa rank below 10000, which means it's doing well.

As a conclusion, in Google Webmasters if your TLD can be targeted worldwide, then you can rank it with SEO if your website is genuine and user friendly, and the most important part the user interaction which will give credit to rank.

If the url for your music store site is example(dot) co when example(dot)com is the URL for a other site, you are going to send massive amounts of traffic to the wrong website. And a ton of your potential customers are going to wonder why on earth other stuff on your website instead of an order form for buying music online.
So better way to find another domain consist (dot)com. If you won't then go for (dot)co instead (dot)name[/FONT]
