Thinking about buying a domain name, its a very common word which is why the .com, .net and .org are taken.
The .co is currently available but everywhere seems to want double sometimes more for the domain with the extension.

Are .co domains worth it or should i look for another word/name?

    Thanks in advance

Not sure where you've been looking but GoDaddy, Name.com, Namecheap, and Domain.com all have their .co on sale for $9.99-12.99. Having a .co domain name can impact your SEO because it's actually the TLD for Columbia and Google will just show your website to people that are assumed to live in Columbia.

.com is still king, so if you can, try to get that.
If it is a really good memorable name .co is quite alright. I bought a .cm domain myself.

Not sure where you have been looking but there not on sale and im pretty sure you're wrong about only showing to people living in Columbia.
