Sorry if there is already a thread for this; im on the go. Was wondering if there is no dotnet or dotcom EMD available for a keyword is it ok to buy a .co and advertise there? Or are there restrictions to what type of domains you can advertise on?

i think there is no restriction... nothing... .co is columbia TLD. and everyone can get the .co domains. the domain is close to corporation IMO

Anyone got a .co to rank? I'm thinking about buying them for mns sites where I can't get the emd's even with hyphens for relatively easy competition.

As of July 10, 2010 (2010 -07-10), there are no registration restrictions on second-level .co domains; any individual or entity in the world can use register a .co domain

So yeah, you can use a .co domain for pretty much anything (as long as it's legal of course)

Thanks, I'm wondering if it's worth going with an EMD .com with hyphens or an EMD .co without hyphens.

Anyone got any view about this? Anyone got a .co to rank?

They do ok, not great, but once you've got Google to recognize you aren't targeting columbia they can hold their own.

Still havent seen one rank for the number one spot for anything though.
