Has anyone tried ranking them? One of my friends told me they're giving similiar boost to the top 3 ones.

I never really see them in the SERPs. I think it was determined that they're pretty shitty.

I'd argue that it's more of any ageing issue but I have had them ranking for low competition terms whereas with more competitive terms the aged domains will for now have the edge

I've got a 450 000 exact search exact match .co free, just thinking about if I should register it.

There's no .com, .org and .net in top 10

The oldest domain in top 10 is 2 yo, first 2 ones are younger than a year.

They rank no problem,I have one in top 5 for a 74k national search (UK) the only sites above me are the bbc,daily mail(newspaper) and something else(newspaper),I'm above the telegraph(newspaper) it's the highest ranked real business site as I say only newspaper sites with mega pr above me and I've gone past 2 in the last month.It's not an EMD either it has NO keywords in domain name at all.

I have one at #12 for a search term that has 8,000,000 results in quotes. It is a highly competitive term. It is an EMD. I really haven't done too much in terms of SEO. I'd say it's comparable to .com, .net, and .org.

I use a co domain name for my personal site as it was the only way I could get a domain that matched my name - works just as well as any of my other domain names that my other sites use.

Matt Cutts released a video a few weeks ago discussing .CO domains and whether they'd be treated like a Colombian extension or a "international" like .com,.org,.net

He stated that since they are so actively marketed and that there are so many people picking them up that essentially they are considered an "international/top TLD".

Therefore, you should have no problems ranking those domains.
