    What do you guys think? I just tried to search and didn't see any threads focusing on these freebies...

    Let me know... Someone starting out, do you think this would be a good idea?

    Overall, No. I have some domains still waiting to get approved even though I own them in dot com... for affiliate link redirects, the are fine but some article directories will not allow them.

    Cmon man, just buy the dot com, they don't cost much and at least then you have more legal control, there have been threads here before about people saying co.cc stole their domain when it got popular and so on. A tld is also better for SEO than a subdomain anyway. You gotta spend money to make money, well you don't have to, but it helps.

    dude co.cc are only good for redirects or affiliate links
    not good to actually build a website on!
