Most of my co.cc "domains" are "under examination". It affect only good indexed websites after indexing.

 Results 1 - 10 of about 2,980,000 from co.cc  for "This domain is under examination". (0.40 seconds)

I've never had a problem with them and have been using them exclusively for about 6 months.

I hear .TK is free also

I use them for trash autoblogs, testing things out. I never rely on them for any of my income sites.

Actually this is true - they are a really sketchy. If a site becomes popular they will try to get you to upgrade to a premium 'co.cc' account which means you pay a fee upwards of $3+ depending on what they think the worth of it has become. $3 is the minimum they charge for an additional year (since it's only free for 1 year if you run ads). But it's all based on how much they want to charge you so you could pay $500 potentially to keep it.

Don't donate to them and don't pay them because they're only going to try and upsell you later. I actually had donated to them like 2 years ago and now I regret it ..even if it was only $10 ..

I am using them for SEO.

The domain co.cc have PR 6. It is better to use subdomain on PR6 domain instead new PR0 domain because new PR0 domain will be sandboxed if I try to do same things that I do with co.cc subdomains

I didn't donate to them.

I have several wordpress MU websites with open registration and I have many users (bots) using them. One of them was on co.cc but now is "under examination"...

yeah i set up one earlier for a redirect and i got the whole examination thing, so i just went to .tk with no problems.

the good thing about them is they have a lot of good names available, but if you have a good word theyl ask you to pay for it. For instance I tried signing up for a good one and they wanted 20 bucks. fuck that.

co.cc also stole a lot of domains from me! Once it said, domain under examination in my account after it got pr 3 and good traffic! And then put in for selling at 30$! Its a scam.

Buying .info is better.Personally, i do .net or .com as they are quite reputed.

Dumb-ass me...I had just 'donated' $10 bucks to them in order to be able to register up to 100 domains (the free version of it was limited to 4 domains)...one week later it's not usable anymore.

Murphy's laws at work here or what?

there are other several post in this forum who says 'STOP USING FREE DOMAINS' including co.cc or dot.tk......Tell you what if you start getting good traffic in these free domain, owners of these domain definitely steal it from you and redirect them to their offers or something like that...Tell me one thing did u see any sub domain in google top ranking on good keyword...Hope this help you out
