Is anybody else getting CNN spam email. This is coming in on an email I use only for Pa*yPa*l. The only things I have purchased recently are on BHW and DP.

It's a trojan sending out the crap. Either you've emailed someone that got trojand or you have a common email address.. My software support address would get a metric ass ton of that bullshit until i setup URLBL + SRBL + Spam assassin on my inbound mx.. Now rarely 1 makes it through
I thought someone was playing a joke on me. I've been getting about 500 of these a day (they come from all different email addresses). It's been going for like a week now. I actually turned off my server side spam blocking because it was blocking important emails, this is making me seriously consider turning it back on.
Thanks for the response guys. I hope they give up soon, although they only need one in every million I suppose.
I am only getting it from one email, my paypol one. It may be someone I bought from is infected. I have just set a rule in outlook to delete any email with cnn alert header, seems to work.

I got it too and I've been getting like 3-4 a day for the past week.
They did a good job though, the e-mail looks legit. I'm sure they are building one hell of a net.

I've been getting these too. Whatever you do, don't click on any of the links within the email. As mentioned above, it's full of malware designed to infiltrate your PC. I checked it out on an older PC I use for just for testing software and my anti-virus program blocked the intrusion.
This email is hard to block because they us some type of domain rotator. Block one and other emails still get thru with a similar domain. Those RAT BASTARDS.
