Cloudways to Join DigitalOcean

As much as I liked DO, i always hated their support system then again, it was a provider that wasn't known for it's support so it was ok
But cloudways is a managed system, their support was honestly decent at best, would be interesting turn of events imo.

If they do acquire cw, i wonder how they gonna keep the current structure.
There probably some legal issues there as it's a conflict of interest, afterall, CW uses other providers too.

They wouldn’t remove cloud services other than DO. Both the business model are different.

Surely there something about a competitor coming to sell your services while also being a competitor of it's own product.
Could also be solely up to how the original agreement contract was drafted up between CW and the other providers.
Otherwise, they could of been selling under a reseller license this whole time /shrugs

DigitalOcean stands for about 50% of Cloudways sales, removing the other cloud suppliers would be pretty stupid in terms of revenue.

Yea it does
they should just make a managed service on their own site imo lol
people would flock there i reckon

DigitalOcean to Buy Web-Hosting Firm Cloudways for $350 Million

Nice exit for them, they are my favorite hosting provider so I really hope they won't remove the other cloud data center providers.

I think that might be good news for not-so-tech-savvy people like me, who do not know how to manage servers. If they acquire CW and provide free service for managing them, they'll acquire most of the market share. So, it might benefit both the company and IMers like me.
