In my never-ending quest for a great residential proxy, I have (recently) come across Cloudflare WARP and nearly instantly realized - it will save me, my business and will help (maybe dozens?) who read this thread.. Anyways, here it is - WARP - Cloudflare's biggest gift to humanity (and personally me), probably nearly as big as their free DDOS protection. If you are not familiar with WARP - check this out https://one.one.one.one/ and for me most important is the recently added Linux support. Are you already seeing where I am going with this? After a bit of research and a little bit of trial and error, I was able to create for myself super awesome, Cloudflare "hosted" proxies with virtually unlimited bandwidth and quite possibly a pool of 1,5m IPs at hand.... WOW WARP, JUST WOW... started with a few proxies across the globe, will make quite a few more.. All one needs is a VPS and with a bit of practice, can deploy proxy in the desired geo in 15-20 minutes (5-10 if you know your stuff)..

And just like that WARP masks your VPS's IP and acts like a proxy with rotating outgoing IPs, both IPv4 and IPv6... Only need to install 2 apps on the server - warp-cli and dante-server (socks). That's it!! How crazy is that??? ... The only thing, I haven;t been able to make nginx work right with WARP, it seems you need to host DNS on Cloudflare and do a tunnel for nginx to work with WARP, that's a bit of extra work..

PS .. BHW has given me a bit of good advice, like I really loved tutorial on using Google Index API, and some other stuff, and I always wanted to give back, and tried, to no big splash, but I think this time I have something really really useful and unique... If there is enough interest, i can put up a quick step-by-step for Ubuntu.. later..

I played around with warp.It seems to give you a ip thats close to the geo area you are in.
Didnt realize i could keep getting random ip's ..
How do you force it to change your ip?
I see so you get a remote vps and connect it to to warp making your ip better and making renew your address when you need a new ip?.

Okay, so here's a noobish question: Are you saying I don't need to shell out for fancy mobile IPs or residential IPs to do my stuff? If that's the case, it'd work for now, yeah? But I'm guessing if this thing blows up, those WARP IPs are gonna end up on some blacklist, right?

you don't need to do anything that is the greatest part. as you might know, Cloudflare has its own unending quest - making Internet better and faster, that is why it is constantly trying different paths to the destination. So it will constantly automatically switch your IP.. Also if you force IPv6 - that one changes on each "what's my IP" request.. also i would assume "the world" will treat these IPs as they do for example 100s of domains hosted on same IP - with that "it;s solid, it's coming from Cloudflare" phrase.. i should have of course stated that none of my stipulations are actually factual, i am just alleging stuff, except the 1 single fact - WARP can be used as non-transparent proxy. I would also assume others could be using same site you're on via same IPs you are, but the beauty is, the site doesn't know either if it's 10 windows on your PC or 10 different people "from your area".. whatever this turns out to be, it's is definitely ripe with opportunities.

This actually sounds amazing. I'm not entirely sure as to what that all means (I am no longer a computer nerd) but I will look into this. Thanks a lot.

I am not saying anything like that about anything you're already using. If it works for you - keep doing it, but also consider this method, maybe try, maybe it won't work for you. But I would really be perplexed if some site decided to ban Cloudflare's infrastructure... and their nearly 1.2 BILLION IPs (i correct myself, i said millions before, it's billions..)

It could be a life changer for someone who doesn't have resources, thanks!

I KNOW BRO!! I tried buying those mobile GBs - use 1GB in half hour, that is NOT sustainable business for me.. And those unlimited data proxies, omg, i am sitting all day constantly finding ways to deal with outages, long responses, overuse by others, etc.. but with this - I will be able to cut down on costs and i am already seeing improvements in workflow, very fast connections, transfers, my error rate went from 5% to nearly 2%, if it means anything to anyone.. i am really happy, like seriously... i've been battling to stay afloat with shit proxies for the past 2-3 months, and been "making do" with what resources i could find.. but today i am smiling.. it is Cloudflare too.. last time i've been DDOSed hard and pushed to CF to the point that I had to hide behind tunnels and change all IPs and everything, they somehow manages to isolate even 1 of my backend servers, or some echoed attack, anyway, i hid in CF about 5-6 VPSes that do normally 20-30mbps of transfer constantly all day long, and all traffic went via CF, and there was never ever any kind of mentioning of any limits or anything... I love CF. I will buy some of their stock come Monday...

This is a great find! It makes me happy to read how happy a person gets when things work the way they should!

That's awesome! Sounds like you've totally leveled up and mastered your tech game. Just remember, Cloudflare's a sweet tool, but you're the real MVP here - like Thor swinging that hammer. All those hurdles you jumped? That's Darwin's natural selection at work, making you a tech beast. Now it's time to lace up those boots and crush it! Get after it, champ!

I didn't realize it was constantly changing ip..I should test that out on my mobile.
I did have some problems with it on a site.I was in a never ending verification loop which sucked.
Does seem to be switching between i think like three ipv4 ip addresses.
Appears like you said depending on location.I think the ip stays the same if your going to the same location .

weird. i guess i was expecting to see more action here.

anyway, this is not worth a full tutorial.. sorry... here are the basics..

ubuntu 20.04
install WARP, do not activate or connect to network yet https://one.one.one.one/
install DANTE, just install it, do not do AUTH https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-dante-proxy-on-ubuntu-20-04

first with WARP, whatever it does, i think routes DNS via their network or something, so basically you need to allow yourself IN and the other server(s) that will use the proxy by running following commands after installing WARP (creates tunnel and adjusts the firewall), otherwise you'll be locked out:

Code:
warp-cli tunnel ip add MY.IP
warp-cli tunnel ip add MY.OTHER.SERVER.IP

and after that, run these 3

Code:
warp-cli registration new
warp-cli mode warp
warp-cli connect

note that now you won't even be able to install anything new, or at least I wasnt, until disconnecting WARP from network, or maybe changing its mode somehow.. dunno..
check your networks by running "ip a" command, you will see now that there's a newcomer there - CloudflareWARP section..

so now i do not bother with PROXY AUTH part, just do the IP based stuff, so I add this to config (/etc/danted.conf) for each of the servers that will use proxy:

Code:
client pass {
        from: MY.IP/32 to: 0.0.0.0/0
}
client pass {
        from: MY.OTHER.SERVER.IP/32 to: 0.0.0.0/0
}

then I also edit this very important part of the config

Code:
internal: NORMALNETWORK port = THE_PORT_NUM
external: CloudflareWARP

pardon the "normal network" thing, it's the usual ETH0 or ENS3 or whatever.. you know what i mean.. it's also in "ip a" command's output.

anyway now restart danted service and just like that, you're ready! you can now use this as SOCKS://VPS.IP.AD.DR:THE_PORT_NUM, just don't forget to run "ufw allow THE_PORT_NUM" command on your VPS first..

so far i am comfortable with IPV4 but not able to access proxy via IPV6 that's assigned to it, not really familiar with IPV6 in general, but DANTE and WARP both work with IPV6 no problems, so if you know what to do, how to address the proxy via IPV6, - please, lemme know.. ufw allow command sets rules both for IPV4 and IPV6, so i think no extra setup is needed, given your VPS has both types of IPs assigned to it.. And technically when if IPV6 is available, WARP should prefer it, but it's all still unclear to me..

PS it's a tut after all..

There is a residential vpn service that uses residential proxy+warp+vps, but I really can't figure out what is being shared here. Maybe you should share some images of what exactly you do and the result so we better understand.
