cloudflare & ssl

hello,

I have notive in my cloudfalre dashboard that cloudflare can active for free a ssl certificate.

Does someone use this option ?
if yes, is it working for most of the browser do you have issue ?

if you looking for easy securing your website, cloudflare your good options..
their ssl work on most browser.. but for speed, i have problem with that..
and if you want speed & secure go with letsencrypt on your nginx vps..
in cost.. you must learn few linux command like sudo apt or yum..

well, i don't want to handle with linux command.
So you are saying that the ssl of cloudflare will make the website slower ?

Actually Cloudflare (FREE) sometimes may harm your website speed and SEO rank. It depends from lot of factors of course.
Regarding privacy protection, don't think that cloudflare care for your privacy, anyone can do fake copyright claim and they will provide all the information they have for you.
The SSL from cloudflare will indeed make your website a bit more slower and that because the encryption of your website is made from 3rd party server and not your hosting server directly.

Do your self a favor and move to offshore hosting provider with free or cheap SSL certificates included and ask them to setup it for you.

The only noticeable issue with Cloudflare's free SSL is it only supporting "modern" browsers:

Desktop Browsers installed on Windows Vista or OS X 10.6 or later:

Internet Explorer 7
Firefox 2
Opera 8 (with TLS 1.1 enabled)
Google Chrome v5.0.342.0
Safari 2.1
Mobile Browsers

Mobile Safari for iOS 4.0
Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and later
Windows Phone 7

Basically, if someone is still using Internet Explorer on Windows XP, they may have issues.

If you use Cloudflare's SSL option, you will not need to purchase a separate SSL Cert. For most purposes you will be covered. I wouldn't worry about old browsers.

I use cloudflares Full SSL, let's encrypt <=> cloudflare.
