Anyway if someone want to attack you Cloudflare and all this kind of solution can be bypass lol
Depending of the size and the attack but a proper DDOS solution costing 200euros to 1k per month. And trust me your hosting provider will kick you quickly if you are not taking the option !
my understandings so far till top day of webhosting providers is, when they have good DDOS protection and you have a hosting plan from this provider, your website is protected via their DDOS, that means they will only kick you out when your wordpress site get hacked (was happenend of one my my clients last year, I have a handful of webdesign clients, little little money...)
What will godaddy do when your wordpress site get hacked? Sorry I must ask that, shut your whole website + account down or what?
From my client as example his wordpress site was shutdown within 48 hours and they gave me who build the website backup and I was able to build up the site again, but my client choosed a new webhost (ionos germany) , his previous webhost was a really amateur without cpanel without have access to phpmyadmin, so my client was not able to create a new database, the old was hacked there was porn spam site code in the database (pages).
Now the client ha sthe same domain, but the wp directories now are hidden, the admin login is hidden and the wp.config file. Not laugh the cause was he has a little shop (10 products) with woocommerce and default setting is, that customers can login into his wordpress dashboard and one of them was the hacker- he was able to set his role to admin !
A big security leak in this free plugin till today ! Now I setup woocommerce so, that customers not can login (not have a wp account).
I think when your wp site get hacked, the most webhost providers will shutdown your wp site (take it offline) within 48 hours. What gofuckdaddy will do? I do not know but who on the whole planet buys something from them ?
