Closing Off BHW From The World

A fee would make a few people where rich, but longterm it kills the board.
Won't take long and another quality board would open up that's free.
Invitations are always good, but not for the forum itself.

When will the final decision be made? It does not seem that is going to be made pay-to-view, but you could make more sections Jr Vip only. Some people's arguments that it will kill the board etc, do not make sense imo. I cannot see why having the forum open to thieves and beggars who go and sell every method posted on here would make it better. Also, i'd advise to close it for spiders. Ok, this is all coming from a noob, but this is just my 2 cents. I would be willing to pay for the valuable information posted here.

I dont think majority of BH wants a fee thats a no no .....but something has to be done

well im all for paid membership, too many people here who easily wind more exp members up with their lame questions etc. BUT i guess thats what vip etc etc is for. So it's swings and round abouts for the owners regarding the donations etc

I think you should have sign-up to be invite only give jr.vip members 5 invites say every few months.

Its hard to say. Thanks to wiz for making me realize charging even 9 a month, IF all 24k users pay... only shit.. $216k a MONTH. very rich indeeed. I understand profiting off this forum, and I dont have a problem with it (where would we all be without it?) but you can profit and not be greedy as well.
I think perhaps a one-time fee would work. Everyone pays a one-time fee to stay here, or to get in say, of $100 and I am set. Im sure most of us can afford 100 bucks for a ONCE fee.
The problem, as someone else said, goes with selling. And I dont think it would work out for new people wanting to buy. think about it. would you pay $19 a month, or a one time $100, THEN have to go into the bst and pay another $27 for that dumb ebook you wantd? So then the question comes into play, that maybe SOME sections should be left open to the public. Perhaps the BST. and maybe introductions, where no actual BH talk is allowed. and thats it.

A BIG NO! BHW is successful because of ALL members contributions..Don't cheat people by saying that only JR.ViP or high ranking members are those who contribute to the community! a LOT of new members post very useful posts...My advice to you is to keep it free and public BUT send a PM to new members informing them about rules and talk in a very strict manner about breaking the rules. The PM should include:
1) General behaviour rules
2) Posting rules (No duplicate threads, search WELL before asking, no warez downloads (only downloads related to internet marketing), etc....)
Don't hesitate to warn and ban members who break the rules....my 2 cents

I'd say forget the fee idea, I honestly like the structure atm, as people in a higher level have worked and earnt the right to be there. If you change it to a fee based structure like WF people will be better then you just because they can afford the fee, and tbh i'd personally leave both because of that, and because I couldn't afford the fee.
I find BHW a place where everyone is willing to help, and treat everyone else as equals and not condescending.
I agree with that Diamond Dave, you do have a PM problem, however there are ways to solve this, the easiest of which would be to set up a ticket system, so that anything forum related is dealt with by tickets rather then by PM people. This would also improve the service as a ticket can be picked up by any member of the admin team online at that time.

I would definitely say close off the forum. The more members this place has, we will continue to further "split the pie," and any posted moneymaking opportunities here will yield less for anyone. I am not saying we need to make this as exclusive as BHU, but I feel it would be best for everyone if registration stopped. In a way, it makes me sick seeing some of these moneymaking threads having tens (or hundreds) of thousands of views. To me, it just seems like such a waste. I am sure there are countless "hit and run" members who read this and disappear forever. To sum up this entire paragraph: there will be a larger share for everyone in here if we kill registration, and prune inactive/useless members.
As for donations, I would be willing to pay a small fee, the information in here is priceless.
