Hi,
Im newbie here and i want to give my opinion.. As far as i observed (if you guys notice) there are lots of people on the download section rather than on the actual forum...So, even though I also on that section sometimes, but I do agree if you make the download section invisible or whatever you want..but by applying the fees, I'm not so agree but if i have to, i don't mind since I got tons of info here that I know nothing about it...

I also notice that people who just registered here is just want to request the new download..So that is just my humble opinion..

And, my last words,
Thanks BHW for allowing me to register here..I also dont want this forum become like DP..Because BlackhatWorld Rocks!!

THE SPIRIT OF THE WEB, The reason because Internet has got the world overnight is because the sharing of information, BHW is in my eyes the door to enlight people without the tools, the knowledge or the money to make some money online. The only affected by such decision could be those like many of us in need of creating an income online.
BHW should remain open to the world and maybe add a system to protect some sections to some reputable members only. We have that in place I know but maybe add tight controls maybe. I would say bring more MODS inside!

Scubaslick asked:

"Anybody know how to say, "pompous, magalamoniacal, arrogant, preening, pretentious, overbearing, self-important, delusional douche-bag" in English?"

--Im not even going to comment to this one cause I respect you Scuba-- But Scuba, for you to sick one of your puppets on me was just plain wrong.

Can you see the difference, one of us has thanked more people than we have received thanks. Come on people it don't take a rocket scientist to see the difference. So Sin the Puppet; you have no business going to find maybe two posts where I might have made a casual comment on a money making scheme- If you got that much free time you could have digged up the posts where I earned more thanks than you in 35% less time. I too can go and find your greatest post. I posted it below! The only reason you are exec VIP is because you got to be Diamond Dave's cousin and we gone leave it at that.

"Hello everyone! I'm here to learn your deep dark secrets."

Thanks for having me,
Sine

So if I offended anybody else by leaving their name out I'm terribly sorry. I call a spade a spade it is what is. But to call me names is not right. On second thought you can call me whatever you want just don't put "is broke" behind it :)
Friend or Foe ya'll still my people.

-I was on vacation-- but an associate of mine let me know about the insults-

*sorry Diamond Dave-- mean no disrespect but a man has to respond-*

This thread is a biggie, and time is money.

If this has been said already it will only reinforce the idea.

Have two sections, the Pay and the Free. The Pay section would be equal to today's Jr VIP while the Free section would be about half the content that is currently in the general areas.
The Free section would give the new members an area to get their feet wet in.
Leave BST there and get rid of the freelancer section, they can pay to post too.
Leave The Shit List, Feedback, Lounge, and Intro areas open.
Leave the WH section open.
Leave parts of the Money Making Forum open, Business & Tax Advice, E-Whoring, Torrents, CPA, PPC, and a couple others.

Now, to keep the soon to be paying range people on site there could be a method for them to get free time accredited to them by making very worthwhile posts. How this would work on a subscription I haven't a clue, possibly a monthly mass pay returning the funds to the users.

The downloads section should be split, Ebooks can be open but the other (better) stuff should be PPV.

After browsing through the thread I have to ask.

Money, why aren't you gone as you stated yet? That would be real fun.

Posts like yours is the reason I cannot leave-- I understand the guy is your friend Caretaker-- I checked his friend list-- I figured you would come to his defense--

But I came back to thank you for a useful post-- Seem like you need some-- I thanked you twice-- but no seriously I liked your post above the smart attempt to made--

You are a man of sense-- a scholar and a gentleman for taking up for your friend--

Putting a joining fee will keep all the problems and keep away people that makes their way to blackhat slowly (you know the road - Adwords,HTML, Clickbank, cloacking links, some more php etc.). Many affiliate marketers didn't profit at all in the first 2-4 months.
Allowing people to join only via referrals sounds good until you think how on earth could a thinking guy with interest in making money in the internet get a referral from a VIP Jr.
But this guy will post here a new BH strategy one day.
Maybe prevent people from posting for their first 40 days. This sounds reasinable to me.

Dave started this thread because the increase in members was causing him too much of a workload - most of the ideas and suggestions, if implemented, would probably make him wish for the good ole days when he only had a few hundred emails to bother with. :D

Tests, applications, reviews before being able to become a member? Get real. Information on the net is supposed to be free? The info is free you're just paying for his forum idea, labor, the hosting, bandwidth, coders, software, etc., etc., etc.

He built the site and everybody came and if he wants to monetize it for himself that's his right and he should do it. He seems to have alot of forums so maybe he wants to show (and make) some steady income and sell it? However much he makes shouldn't concern anybody else.

So Dave should do whatever the hell he wants to do with it. ;)

I think it would be very shortsighted to close BHW to new members and do not agree with the idea of a paid membership as this would preclude many resouceful members from countries such as India. To limit growth of BHW if this is what you are trying to achive, you should implement a maximum number of new members per month. Secondly put in place a system that monitors existing members contributions to the forum, for instance less than 10 posts per 60 consecutive days and membership is terminated.

This is about the best damn idea on this whole thread if you ask me. Wish I would have thought of it.

I honestly won't mind paying a fee, but it should be like a one time donation fee of $100 or something.

Making this forum invite only would be good enough for now. If people start handing out invites like candy or selling them then perhaps you should close the forum to donors only.

don't close it off, just make a paid membership or close off alot of the main areas for people to access (especially craigslist and the CPA Areas!) that's about it. Paid is an option but would really kill newbs and some lurkers that "might" contribute in the future.

2 cents,

Catz

Close the doors to all new users and make it $50 a year.

This place is worth the fee.
I don't mind the "very wealthy individual" making bank, Wiz.
This place has made me money. Nothing else has even come close.

But it would be a shame to close it off to new people entirely.
Those people need what we have, and this community is the only
place that gives them a decent shot at actually giving AND receiving
a level of quality that only the high rollers seem to own.

Make them pay, too. It is just compensation.
We'll find a way to afford it. It's too good to lose,
and we all know that

Woo Hoo,
I see everybody is voiceing their opinions still.

Has it occurred to any of you that your opinions do not match up with the only 2 choices Dave gave us to vote?

Spurling out words, thoughts, opinions here and there; I pity you Dave.

How can you keep your faithful contributors?
How can you caress your Jr Vip's egos?
How can you keep this forum evergreen?
How can you keep the information from being run to the ground by assholes?
How can you welcome people that want to learn how to make money?

You all are missing the point here.
At present, there are less than 1,000 votes. (out of 20K + members)
We were given 2 choices...........that's it.

Egos on overdrive, wanting to state your intelligence, and the way it SHOULD be.

All we can really hope for is that Dave will reconstruct the poll, Difinitive, and Exact; leaving NO personal inuendos or opinions available.

Look...I think I, being a noob in this SEO world...but a realist in the real world, believes that most of the old-timers in here just want to keep the forums locked up, now that they have a firm understanding of things in this internet money making world...

I don't blame them...I am assuming if I was in the same boat as you guys, I would be the same way...to an extent.

I don't think its cool to be so stingy, because I work with computer hardware and I know A LOT...probably more than MOST of you guys; however, when it comes to end-users, as annoying as they may be...they just want to understand just like you did at one time or another; consequently, I share my information, in the most dummed down way so that they know that I am not trying to appear that I am better than them...and they appreciate this...

what is my consequence for their appreciation??

MORE BUSINESS...

I accidentally stumbled upon this page looking for something to help our company with craigslist...and I have just started reading the interesting topics on here with doing college and running a business and it takes time...

To me it appears that quite a few of you guys have SO much free time where you can make dozens of landing pages and back-links and all these other things that I haven't begun to understand yet...and that's fine...but why hinder someone elses development?

I hope the forum stays open...because thats what makes this place special...if not, at least make it where people have to LOG IN to use it and that's it.

Im sure a lot of you big money makers on here are already collabing amongst each other and doing quite well for yourselves...

DONT BE SO STINGY.

-great forum...hope it stays around.

you will always need freash ideas from the outside. we have to keep it open

I think you should make it a referral program for new members coming in and no monthly fees, but have a restricted area like the warrior forum with a one time fee.

I vote close the door, and make it as an invite only forum.

I would also suggest no monthly fee, but a one-time fee or a small yearly fee.
