Closing Off BHW From The World

Anybody know how to say, "pompous, magalamoniacal, arrogant, preening, pretentious, overbearing, self-important, delusional douche-bag" in English?

I feel that if you want to kill the forum go pay only. Without an influx of new ideas and methods people will stop coming and that is what will happen if it becomes paid only. Many people will stop sharing if it was paid only because they would be like I'm being charged to share a method that can make hundreds of dollars a day? Might as well keep it to myself

hi am a newbie here ..but am an bhw addict ...everyday i start my computer ..i open my browser and my first click will be bhw in my book marks ...everybody was a newbie in the past ...
so closing to newbie is not good ....u can restrict the access to newbie to main areas and tell them if they post good things to some number only they can be able 2 access other parts ...so anyone who is serious and hardworking will do that ..it also grows the community and also u can get valuble members ...and good posts

I think there should be a fee, for something to have value there has to be a price. I've received some good info from this site and I can't understand why anyone would continue to come here if it's so bad here.
I am old school I believe if you want to make money then get off your lazy ass. We were all noobs at one time. I have spent a lot of time studying reading, trying this and that most of the time failing until finally a breakthrough.
There is nothing wrong with asking "what is the fastest way to make money". There is something wrong with asking someone to do it for you. So stop being lazy, yes search the forum, read everything you can get your hands on and God forbid, maybe even learn to code. There are no free lunches.
This business is all about investments some small some large, if you can't afford $9 or $19 and this forum is of value to you, then maybe you might want to get a job cleaning out the booths at your local $.25 movie theater.
"what is the fastest way to NOT make money", do what everyone else is doing. Just ask any recovering Craigslist poster, don't get me wrong you can still make money there, but not like the good old days before "PVA", thank God I saw it coming. I left when I saw people bragging in forums about making 5000 postings a day. No respectable mega site is going to bend over and take it and then stand by while you tell everybody you did it.

let the forum be free but let there be a private VIP section. this will give the forum more value and still not reduce its traffic. The VIP section can now be paid for and move a lot of very valuable stuffs there.

And above all:
Due to the free-of-charge characteristic of that forum, people are willing to share and to give freely their knowledge to others. Somehow I really doubt this would continue if you would have to pay.
From "our" perspective, the BHW community, most should not be afraid of the many members here to be too much concurrence: The internet is HUGE and there are not so many push-button-to-get-rich solutions. Is is not trivial to make more money than in your day-job with the same amount of time to invest and - correct me if I am wrong - I would estimate that say at least 70% of the members including me do not earn more.

Yes, I also thought about that myself.
+ Eliminate the download section.
That should take care of privacy+ leechers.
A paid membership would only kill young bloods and that`s just not good.

Diamond Dave...if you have this many people saying they will pay a fee then go ahead and charge the $19 a month and cash in. Everyone else who is charging high subscription fees for coaching, tools and software is laughing all the way to the bank so why not you?
Christ, just sell download credits and I think you could retire!

i think this site should be invite only.
but it also should be open to new members, its important for new blood to stumble onto the scene. if it wasn't available to new members, probably NONE of us would be here right now unless you were a member the day the site initially launched.
i think it should go something like this: the forums should be closed off to the public, it should be 90% be jrVIP or higher. Invite only. 10% will be able to be accessed by people invited to it, but they can still not get to the main parts (jrVIP and higher) even though they are invited to the forum, they still have to get to the next phase. none of it will be open to the general public without an invite.
a second (very small) site setup with only a couple of forums. these are the threads people will see in the search engines. it will be the breeding ground.
people can post all the questions and stuff and answers and ideas they want on there. when the mods there see a diamond in the rough, they invite them to the main board. simple as that.
it will keep the main site smaller and easier to manage, im sure. its way too large right now, its probaby impossible for anyone to read every single thread. i know i dont anymore, theres just way too much stuff, and most of it is pointless. take a look, how many threads with the same exact info over and over again do we really need, because someone was too lazy to search for the answer. a day dont go by that i dont see threads dedicated to meta refreshes. enough already. more people would post more useful help and information if they could find threads worth posting in easier by not having to waste 45 minutes digging through threads of crap
and i also think it should have a small monthly fee for the main site, to pay for both sites to keep them running.

Please dont make this as a fee based site.. You people are rich and you can afford paying $9 or $19 per month.. What about those people poor and coming from third world countries... It is not like a simple $9 for them including me.. It costs us huge money.. and we are not willing to pay..

close the the door becuase i'v seing alot of x-rumer spam on this forum lately i'v cought people signing up as newbies ask 1 and answered their own questions under a different user name with a link pointing back to their website kinda like the yahoo answer spam
My personal opinion is that the site would probably start to stale out with the same old people around touting the same old garbage. But I'm a noob with a small post count so obviously some of the trolls here will disagree with me based on this ever-so-common forum logic.
