Closing a online community - what to do?

I own a large online community in my country, and due to the extremely expensive hosting and work on the software, I have deceided to close it down, because it's currently a bad business.
Also because all the visitors are teenagers, and sadly they don't buy much on the internet. So ads give crap payment.

Now I am wondering how to do this and earn as much cash as possible from it.

The site is big, and got some Google love, so I was wondering if I should redirect the domain to one of my other sites, and hope it will pass some juice and traffic. But does this even work (the juice part)?
Or perhaps another idea? I am open for all suggestions except keeping it as it is. I have spent countless hours and money on this project, and if I had used it on some of my affiliate sites, my earnings would have been much better.

I hope to hear from someone who have done something semilar.

For a general advice all the above are great but if you want some idea other then the ones above you should post the link so we can understand what is all about and maybe provide other method to get money from it.

It's very niche and it isn't english. It's from a small country in Europe.
So I don't think it's gonna be easy to sell, especially with all that work to maintain and it only drops a few coins.

I am interested in a quick solution, which could help some of my other sites (affiliate) which earns very well.
So as mentioned I throught of creating a redirect - but does this pass linkjuice?

You should probably just flip it. If it has a good amount of content and regular users, I'm sure someone would want to pick it up.
