Closed BST Section in The Marketplace

A little bump because a number of sales threads were closed again recently.

yes, i would like to see.

Implementation of this -- would there now be double the number of marketplace forums? Ex:
  • "Link Building" and "Link Building (Closed),"
  • "Social Media" and "Social Media (Closed), etc.
That could potentially clutter up the overall site structure. If possible, what might be more useful and logical would be something like a custom tag/flair/status that can be applied to threads to allow for easy searching.

Maybe a hotlink to a custom search or so on that automatically filters out all locked posts. Or something like that depending on what works best with XenForo

Well I would like the "Link Building (Closed)," section to be a subsection of "Link Building" that way it can be totally ignored and leaves the main section clutter free.

I've brought up the use of prefixes before. The forum already has them, as you can see in my "This is a suffix" thread.
While I like the idea, one problem I can see this causing is that it would change the permalink of every BST thread. For example, if I we decided to do this and changed @littlewebdragon's BST title, the URL would go from
  • /seo/servikus-pure-ssd-hosting-unlimited-domains-and-bandwidth-only-0-8.677202
to
  • /seo/bst-servikus-pure-ssd-hosting-unlimited-domains-and-bandwidth-only-0-8.677202.
Some members might not appreciate the permalinks or their thread titles being changed. I also don't think there are any automatic redirects in place if we change the thread titles, which would cause problems for sellers who link to the threads on other sites.

However, I think this would be an excellent opportunity to use the prefix feature. Right now, I'm the only one with a thread with a prefix on Black Hat World, but this is what it looks like:

Since the prefix feature doesn't change the thread's title nor does it alter permalinks, we could add "BST" in the prefixes and avoid the problem I mentioned above.

Forum signatures do work on the mobile website, but they're only displayed in landscape mode.

The prefix feature works on the mobile website as well. I've attached a screenshot below, but you can view my prefix thread from 2016 here if you want to see for yourself.

I don't like the idea of adding more subforums to the forum.

If this is mostly about making it easier to find and reference guides, I have an alternative suggestion: prefixes.

I brought these up in another thread here in the feedback section, and we can do the same thing with guides by adding a "Guide" prefix to any current and future guides.

As for the situation in the making money subforum, all I can say is to report any problematic or misplaced threads. I tend to close threads where a member asks a question that's been answered a hundred times here, so feel free to report those threads as well.

Hypothetically, I don't see a problem with creating a single "Closed BSTs" subforums for this purpose and moving the closed threads from all of the sections there. Think of it like a graveyard for marketplace threads. If someone wants to practice necromancy and revive their thread, it's just a matter of moving it back to the correct section.

This is a great idea, +1 from me as well. As mentioned above, a single closed section would be perfect, no need to separate them all.

Is it possible to add a Closed Thread in each of The Marketplace Sections?
That way, when a service is closed/shut down the thread just gets sent to the relevant Closed Section.
It should make the sections easier to search through and make the sections cleaner.
I feel you bruh. Once I wanted to get a product reviews writer and I pulled my hair finding them scrolling through the related section.

Lemme call Diamond Damien and get it sorted.
