If i could get a look i could be able to suggest a lucrative way to get enough cash out of those 4 million users. i mean, you have what we all work hard to get, but without making money, i mean what is the point already? i will help you anywhere i can. wish you all the best.

Bro you made a business error which was getting into a bad niche.... it sounds you are giving free downloads to copyrighted music, right ??

so you are basically allowing a illegal activity?

take it as a lesson in life.. do not get into illegal activities.

best thing you can do, make a big deal of your traffic, invest your time in making a good powerpoint for selling and put your site on flippa . use the skills you learnt from this to move onto something better.

there's a reason why sites in this niche are easy to get traffic.... the traffic is shit. who wants to advertise in front of broke teenagers and broke people who do not spend anything but easily break the law ?

take it as a lesson in life and move on


(ps, just thinking about it i heard the other day about some dodgy criminal schemes using fb to advertise. you could try that...)

I wouldn't go as far as to say that this is such a bad thing, considering these sites do generate a large portion of money when curated the right way. The problem here is that I allowed my platforms to reach sizes in which adsense doesn't approve of them anymore, as I said before when doing things in this niche you have to be malicious because that's the type of demographic you're targeting. You're targeting a malicious demographic whom is there to get things for free, monetizing high bounce traffic isn't at all easy.

I appreciate your advice, and I am more then aware of how bad this niche is.
 
What about trying some affiliate offers for pills or methods to pass drug tests? From what I hear (correct me if I am wrong), your audience is mainly North American kids who are broke and want freebies. Sooner or later, broke kids have to get a job so they can leave their mom's basement and afford nice things and for many jobs (especially unqualified menial jobs) they have to take and pass a drug test.
 
I suggest install a pop up on the download button that redirect the user into your youtube channel or Ecommerce store.
 
Why not try to disguise an ad as a download button like so many sites do? This will increase your CPC rate incredibly unless you are already doing so.

Honestly, I am within the Music Download niche and looking for serious help monetizing my site ... I am generating a lot of views for sure, but not sure how to properly go about monetizing my website at all.

My traffic is almost 80% United States traffic yet popads is still paying me trash, all other ad companies pay on pathetic payment terms, and I'm legitimately just about to stop running my sites all together because it's to much risk, for to little reward.

Some things I've learned along the way.

1. Getting domain banned in google, absolutely sucks especially when it's a site level ban and not a domain level ban, these are often from Copyright related issues.

2. This niche is literally the worst niche you could ever be in, the conversion ratio is beyond low. The traffic is there literally to snag a free download and leave, most of the time they're using a hundred ad blockers, and smart enough not to click on CPA related things.

3. Content lockers will kill your website completely, with hundreds of websites popping up every day from people in countries that can literally survive off of hundreds of dollars of income per month, you really can NOT complete if you include content lockers.

4. Google Adsense is your only decent revenue source, and it's on a timer. During any point of the day your entire income pool could just be swiped from under your feet like it's nothing. Gotta love google adsense

Please someone help me, I don't want hand outs I want advice to how I can monetize my traffic!

My websites are generating around 4,000,000 views in total each month primarily from the United States, my main income right now is from url shortners however it still isn't really so much, outside of my server bill I can barely get by.

Popads rates are going down every single day and now they're not even paying out with automatic withdraws anymore, not to mention upcoming changes in Chrome 64 I don't even know if marketing via Popups is a long lasting idea.

Try ad-center, Some people make money with this on free movie streaming websites. But I totally agree with the members talking about the commercial or buying intent keywords to make any good money online.
 
Think what this people want,===> free items, and what can you give for "free" adult media that pays per lead at first.

I would suggest you to put sexy banners and try to convert your own products.

Think what would they need to hear this music===>Make up a shopify store with ipods and similar players and dropship to them awsome players.

This are two alternatives you can twist .

What demographics are your visitors?

Personally I'd try to run some sneaky, borderline adult dating ads.

"Meet Women Who Live in _____ and Love Listening To ____"

Then get some titty-heavy images of hot chick wearing headphones.. etc.
 
3 words: mobile app installs. Also, there are a ton of ad networks out there. Use mediation and keep adding the highest paying networks until you hit a near 90%-100% fill rate. There are a ton that will work with you, regardless of your site's content.

Consider restructuring your site to maximize the time users spend on your size. Look into implementing infinite scroll so that users search for 1 song, find the link to download and then continue to scroll looking at other songs. Decrease your bounce rate and increase your click through rate. More time on site = more ad revenue. Pretty soon you go from 4 million hits a month to 6-10 million.

*PUT A HUGE BANNER ON THE TOP OF YOUR SITE*: "Want your music featured to over 4 million monthly viewers? Click here". Users pay to have their soundcloud, youtube, whatever music featured to your traffic. To take it one step further: setup an instagram bot for your site's music promotion targeting specific hashtags related to musicians. "Promote your music to millions of hip hop lovers on mysite.com."

Come on man, think outside of the box! You have the traffic, now you just need to find out the best way(s) to monetize it! You should EASILY be earning decent money from that kind of traffic. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either too lazy to put in the effort or doesn't have the capacity to think creatively.

1. wiki style fundraising
2. advertising for artists
3. fake download buttons

not sure what youre making on this site but with 4m traffic/mo you should be able to rake in $4k/mo with a diverse lot of income streams and A/B testing

This idea has become one I'm thinking about more and more, especially because my website has full duration album streams. (Something a lot of other websites don't have, this will keep people on page longer) I'm just wondering how profitable it is? I ran some test previously and it wasn't converting very well.

Alternatively, I don't know any services which would be good for mobile app downloads as I've never even heard of such advertisements. Any chance you could hit my messages with your skyp?

What would happen if you added an email submit before they could get the song they want? is it possible to have it as a requirement? If ad blockers are preventing it... Get rid of ads all together... (for now)... Clean up the site (usually those sites are just popup/ad havens... and make it a subscription site... JUST SIGN UP WITH YOUR EMAIL AND GET UNLIMITED FREE MUSIC~ ALL THE LATEST SONGS YOU WANT TO HEAR ~~~~ Then promote to the email addresses... IT will probably be kids/teens... so offer them like APPS or something... Like walmart giftcards CPA offers(so they can buy games) or something.... OR this might be harder... and more illegal(?) ,... charge them membership... i mean i know u will lose people coming to ur site... but if you have 4 million... even if 1000 people decide to sign up... 10$ a year... 1000x10... 10k a year.. (not sure how much u making now) but thats like .1%. u only need .1% of your followers to do it. I dunno... Dont get rid of it. Worst comes to worst just sell the site to someone.

EDIT im dumb... and havent had more than 3 hours of sleep the past 3 days... 4million unique... .1% would be 4000.... so 40k a year... which is super nice??? i assume u dont make that much
