Yeah just a title to get you in here to discuss a thought I had. I was going to do this myself but never got around to it and I'm sure I never will.
How about locking this forum, this section or create a new area where we all can share our tips and tricks.
I know, I know some of you are going to say "That's what we're doing now!" But in reality it's not. I still see people selling tricks and tips like any other "Marketplace"

Instead have an area where ALL of us who have info (myself included) can share ways to make money FREELY!
of course it won't be for everyone. Maybe people with X-amount of post, Rep or whatever can enter and share and bound NOT to disclose the info elsewhere. (that way it never gets saturated)
I know there are some people wit Values here and will never leak info and I know theres a lot of snakes too!
But... If we can get ALL the trusted members as a community in a locked area we all can benefit from each other.

Just a brain fart I've been trying to let out for the last 6mo.

Honestly if you want that then you can certainly find paid forums that will let you in for a nice monthly fee.

Sure Syndk8 has hidden forums that open up once you get a higher post count, but nothing really mind blowing going on in the one I've attained. I'm sure there are more secret forums, just not there yet.

Besides, what's to stop someone that has access to the "secret" area from selling the info on other forums or in some ebook?

I think anyone with information will do o 1 of 2 things. Sell it to make a profit or give it away to everyone interested not just a select few. You never know who is going to steal your stuff and sell it. I have seen this happen a few time just in the last couple of months. A closed forum will not help and will only exclude people for no reason. Its real easy to doctor stats so how do you find the good and the bad. Just don't see this happening.

Post count is not a way to differentiate between reputable and non reputable members.

I have nothing against people that

-sell new software on the market
-sell an original idea

But i am against those that sell reharsed info on the market, and the issue is that even here it seems that this kind of threads start to pop out very often.

Moreover, any free tips given over here are going to be sold on other forums.

I suggest that everyone selling an idea, a method or an ebook should firstly get approval from Dave, or a reputable members committee, if they consider that the info is not some crap already available for free, then he can sell it.

Yeah I agree costs forums allow for more open discussions, but post count is not the best factor. I seen on guy here creat a post and reply to it 10 times to get his post count up. I think post count + accoutn age + rep points might be a better way , ofcourse I am shooting myself in the foot I have no rep points and few posts

there are very few people who want to share information. most of the time, you have to read between the lines. those who are willing to share do so regardless of whether or not the forum is private. my $0.02

maybe have special section that is reserved and off limits to unauthorized people.

..and the only people authorized are by invite-only.

There is no reason to go by # of posts, points or any other bullshit. People with eyes can plainly see by reading the posts here who is willing to not only learn, but to help others by answering questions legitimately if they know an answer or can help.

and those are the people that should be invited in..

and once those people are in place, monitor the boards to see if anyone else deserves to be "voted in" to the good stuff when they prove themselves.

I don't care if the forum is open. Like said above "read between the lines".

Anyone worth their "Deal with the Devil" won't sell you knowledge for $39.99 LOL. Knowledge is earned and worth a lot more.

This is going as planned. I did an experiment for this week and made a little over $100 from people not READING.
Please dont let me do the same experiment here. I'm not suggesting that we do it by post or rep just giving you guys an idea. Of corse there should be a greater criteria like "Invite Only". The Idea of a closed forum is just so the market doesnt get saturated and yes some will leak info but not on the same scale as an open forum.

Let's face it there are some kinks to be worked out I'm not saying my idea is foul proof as it isnt even a blueprint yet.

Some people have dignity and values and those are the ones who should be in the "closed" section. The ones you can trust not to leak info. gained from their peers. I'm not saying it will work but then again it could if implemented right.
