Hi

Is it possible to just keep the domain emails but somehow not keep the site hosting?

The hosting company I use doesn't have a separate email hosting service. Right now, I have my site under maintenance but I'd hate to pay every month just to make use of the domain emails. Is there any other solution to this where I could just keep the domain emails and not pay for website hosting.

No that is not possible, the domain needs to be hosted if you want to receive emails @ that domain.

Guess I'm stuck with it then till I receive some responses In that email.

Check to see If the domain provider supports email forwarding...

No it doesn't need to be hosted. I use zoho mail for this and it's free. All you're doing is updating the mx records and adding some txt records.

You can do it directly from your DNS provider..If namecheap, it should be pretty easy

I use Google Apps for email only. They used to have a free tier, now you must pay. You might be able to do something with Amazon AWS on their free tier or a few cents per month. You could find a free host and set up an email server only like SquirrelMail. The last option is email only at a place like GoDaddy. Many hosts offer such plans and they are cheaper than full hosting if you only need email.
