Close Own Thread Request

Is it possible that a feature to close your own thread please?

Sometime people (me included) make a thread, and it gets maybe 1 or even no replies.
It is a waste of forum space and not useful, so a way to delete your own thread would be nice please.
(To prevent abuse, maybe when a user deletes it, it gets queued and a moderator can approve or deny it?).

Yes, at present you can report your own thread, but thats one extra thing a mod has to do.

You can close them but not delete them.

All you have to do is check the box under "Show your signature" under the Quick Reply box which says, funnily enough "Close this thread"

You can have them deleted too though. Just hit the "report post" button under your post, and an admin will usually delete it for you

The "Close thread" button is only available for Jr. VIPs. If you want to delete your threads, contact a mod or do what 2011nfl said.
